Yeah. Depressing times. These days, it seems like an unrealistic dream to hope for baseline levels of competence and rationality from either party. Not that both are equal, the GOP is currently far worse. But lets see if that holds true 5 years from now. My money is on the Dems managing to lower the bar even further, have zero expectation that the GOP will ever again resemble something sane or reasonable.

I'm going to vote blue this time around, will take no pleasure in it, and I'm not holding out hopes of any trend reversals politically at this point.
