Yes and no. Sure, companies that feel financially threatened are bolder with their monetization, but all companies do this kind of cash grab. I feel any time anyone pays into this flawed system encouraging more of the same.

As to financial need for Shroud, Richard is a wealthy individual that already went out with hat in hand on kickstarter and so on.
