Thursday, May 12th - the 22nd marks my last business trip for several months. I am travelling to Den Haag in the Netherlands for 10 days to support IBM's efforts in the area.

Saturday, June 10th, 2006 marks KGB's 9th year in existance and a huge mile stone for our organization. As you all know, KGB is one of the oldest gaming organizations in existance. As your High King, I am calling for the partisipation of all current and former members in an event in a virtual world that we can all take part in.

This is a chance to come together at no cost to our membership. I am looking at one of the free UO shards and asking that everyone be involved. I plan to post our destination in the next 48 hours. I need all of you to sound off regarding which is the best shard and where do we have the most resources.

This will mark an unpresented show of KGB force as well as a chance to finally play with the entire membership. Once we have made the decision, I will be hosting a KGB ventrillo server so we can all work together and make a showing.

I will be appointing a High Chancellor for the first time in many months to help prepare for this event. Please partisipate in the organization of this outing and be a part of this Historical event.

1) Based on your input, and the ability to purchase and or train a character quickly, I will be choosing a target server in the FREE UO server realm.

2) All KGBers, current and former will be invited to attend and take part of this event.

3) All Characters will be encouraged to display the KGB logo in name and in guild mode.

Take part in the decision making process as to where we decide to meet. Your partisipation is encourages and will be recorded for KGB History.

As High King, I will personally be making an appearance and call on the current KGB Paladins to assist and defend me.

Please take the time to contact all current and former KGB members to partisipate.

A decision on server and shard will take place within 72 hours. Be sure to be heard and share your opinion.

I look foreward to seeing all of your opinions in this thread.

WOOHOO Now you are talking! Lets do it on UO Gamers Hybrid We are all set up and we already have the KGB Tags! Just a matter of tracking down the guildmaster so that we can get recruits tagged etc! Heres how to get started on UO Hybrid:

1) Register at Fileplanet.com
2) Download UO Gold 15 day trial
3) Run UO and patch up
4) Dont worry about registering at UO because we are using a free server program
5) Google UO Gateway and go to that page and download the latest version
6) Install
7) Google Razor UO and dowload that program (Its like UO assist for you old timers)
8) Google UOAM and download that program
9) Install Razor and UOAM
10) To get the game started open UO Gateway and find UO Gamers: Hybrid in the server list and click it and it will open the UO game and Razor automatically if both are installed properly.
11) To create a character just make your new log in and password right at the log in screen if it is completely new the game will realize you are trying to create a new acct. Accts are free.
12) You can donate to the server a receive a stat ball and a seven skill grandmaster ball this will enable you to finish your character with these 2 items.
13) http://uo.stratics.com/ is the definitive UO website for those that are completely new to the game.

I had like 5 accounts A Tower and 4 houses.. big ones..

Not sure if they still there or not.. I think bandit was playing them. I had a ton of free stuff from camping houses etc etc.

If bandit comes on here he might be able to hook everyone up with some stuff

As far as I know most of hte current UO-KGB players are on Hybrid. I am on Oblivion with some freinds there, but since accounts are free would consider ALSO playing on Hybrid. Definitly need a UO-Automap server, and I posted a link to get UO with out registering anywhere, here it is again:

As much as I'd like to have KGB as part of my char names, these are the same char names I used previously in UO, so it would just feel wrong not to ressurect these guys.

Do we have a central area of operations staked out yet? On UO siege perilous, we started out in the Trinsic area, and then moved our base of operations to Ice Island. I'd like to get my guys guilded ASAP, so who is handling that?

I have a nice tower and we have a KGB headquarters and bandit has a nice pad near that tower.. we should use that tower as our base of ops.. who owns the tower near bandits place? Also who holds the KGB stone at this time please post thanks

consider using my keep as well. benefit is that its earthquake proof. on this server pks have refined house killing to a fine art. i remember in our last hybrid foray a group of 4 pks managed to slaughter many, many kgb trying to hide in the tower.

yea towers are a dime a dozen. not keeps tho, so keep for the win.

Well i own the kgb stone on hybrid and the tower that it is in. Im all for playin on the hybrid server i really like the diff tournaments that they host during the day. Theres also a pretty high amount of ppl loged on which makes it decent when ur looking for a fight/war. Plus most of the ppl there are pks so we would have alot of cleaning house to do. We do need to run a uoauto map though like the others where sayin it with vent makes for a pretty cohesive attack force. Msg me here or talk to me in vent and ill get u added to the guild. We can just start from there and make a decision where we want to go once we get all u guys trained up if hybrid is where we land.

Ryu I need tags plz ICQ 6609526 when your on and I will get my ass to the stone and sit on it and hopefully derive some pleasure from spinning around.. whoops off on a tangent.. Ryu is right tho this server averages 800 population consistently and on weekends can top 1000 easy. There are numerous fun events that the GM's do and the server lag is decent to good. Considering we have keeps / towers / houses and people that are 7X I strongly urge us to pool our resources and get this thing going. It needs a little organization for example we could have a set time most of us can be on. Like make it after 8pm est or something and we can help train the people that are new to UO etc.. please post your thoughts.

Isn't hybrid the post uo:r one? Whereas divinity is the t2a one?

hybrid is uo:r pvp and divinity is t2a.. a half assed version of t2a pvp imo but that's another story.

anyways regarding my keep - just have to give me a PM and ill co-own the leaders of this kgb faction. they will be free to do with the property as they please.

Do we have an active teamspeak or ventrillo server for people on UO:Hybrid? If so, what parameters do I set to connect?

I think its on a thread somewhere.. I would recommend creating a UO private forum, and posting vent info there.

KGB does currently have a Vent server running. I'd check the guild hall untill then.

And UO:r for the lose, I was actually considering playing >_<

yeah it's uo:r pvp in that there are special moves, cannot heal through poison, etc. but they took the other stuff out like powerscrolls and stats over 100

UO:Renaisance - one of the first major UO updates that added a lot of rule changes that a lot of people feel was the start of the decline of UO.

RYU Plz PM Kharned can the two of you work out the logistics of the stone move? Also everyone PLease post your character names here and their skill sets so that we can coordinate.. We will be needing full spell books people to tame mounts for people that dont have etheral blessed mounts etc..

Uber = Healing / Hiding / Magery / Resisting Spells / Meditation / Anatomy / Evaluating Intelligence (May drop healing for wrestling so I can stun punch people dunno yet)

Black-Dragonz = Alchemy / Inscription / Hiding / Magery / Meditation / Evaluating Intelligence / Resisting Spells

Going to roll up a tamer and then a full townie dexxer. I stat and skill balled Uber and worked Black-Dragonz up myself skill gains are fast here you can get a full 7X in 3 days if you know the right macros.. some skills cant macro like taming and provoking etc..

If you need the skills to ping pong your stats to max give me a tell but heres a hint...

Ping pong mace / mining and arms lore will work strength
ping pong anat (works str and int)/ eval int / item id / taste id will work for int
ping pong snoop hide and fencing for dex..

providing all skills are capped at 700 if you dont know what ping pong means send me a PM and ill explain how to max your stats in no time flat.. word

dont need to ping pong on hybrid, if you're at 700 skill cap you just need to set a skill marked up and you will gain stats even if you arent gaining any skill at all.

Uber start a thread for the characters in the gaming forum or the great hall so that way it won't get lost in this thread.

I haven't even created my char yet, I am sorta waiting to read up on hybrid to see what their rules are what stuff like that from their website they don't give much information on the type of server i know it's uo:r but is there any other rules they've made up for the server?

thats the one thing we need is a uoam server i cant host one cause i dont have a second comp.

What exactly needs to be hosted? I can leave something running on the DSL at home through DYNDNS if needed. Will it need any administration, or will it just auto whatever's needed? t-

I presume this event is still on, but I haven't heard any updates. What time on the 10th? Where will the event take place? What are we planning to do? What is the UOD (uniform of the day)?

Time to start preparing...

i was waiting to hear more from jet on this. I don't think we will be around on the 10th though i have friends driving through Tn from Fla and we'll be out of town most likly
