VG seems to be having a bad few days.

It's safe to say i need a break. Not having the city the last 48 hours has been somewhat of a relief. 3 hours a day of sleep since we 1st got into beta has destroyed me. I put the Guild ahead of everything else in my life, and i single handedly destroyed it by not paying attention while being swamped with tells 24 hours a day, engaged with meetings every 2 minutes, and every other nightmare this game has to offer.

The 31k gold in the bank was nothing. Thats all replacable. I hurt the morale of the guild more than it already was, and thats why i pretty much deserve to be hung.

Seems to be a lot of bank robbery in darkfall.

Looks to me like

1. The Leader was micromanaging

2. The Leader neglected to delegate the above-mentioned duties in the post above to other leaders down the chain in order to maintain that all-important overall picture of what was going on in the game & the guild.

and

3. The Leader desperately needed to take a break to get some perspective on the idea of "gaming" in contrast with RL priorities. That break appears to have happened, but in a most unfortunate way.

Most people are aware of it - but it's good to be reminded now and again. How my professional background coincides and fits into your comedic post is a mystery.

Whats funny is when i read crims post it reminded me of he miltary so muh but i understood it so hey lol

I think aside from the fact he is publically castrating himself..I applaud his humility and recognition of his mistake..
his mistake to me from his posting seems to point to that he failed to learn his subordinates capabilities and delegate concise rolls and responsibilities..
In my experiences any new leadership roll whether work or play its not uncommon or wrong for that matter to micromanage to a certain extent until you and everyone else fully understands the variables..Then when you learn your subordinates capabilities and what you have to contend with in your goals you can relax a bit, delegate your authority amd evolve but always keeping oversite and feedback from the full bottom up to you..Never lose that connection..If you alienate or insulate yourself from the goings on and day to day and rely on information from those that you have delegated your authority too, you are destined for complacency and failure..
