I've had the fortune of coming to New Delhi, India for about ten days. It's a different world, naturally, but I have totally enjoyed my stay.

I've been to the Taj Mahal in Agra, certainly worthy of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Also went to Akshardham, the largest Hindu temple on the planet.

Regrettably I could not bring my camera to either of these places... it's prohibited.

But I have got a ton of pictures from the town, including several markets such as the Dilli Haat, Janpeth, and Connaught Place. I also visited the Lotus Temple and the 17th century Red Fort.

I'll be uploading these when I get back to the States in a week or so. It's been a very educational and enlightening trip, and had to give a shout to my fellow KGBers from 9000 miles away. :)

Cool deal. Show us some of that. We should have a pictures forum. I could throw in my Deployment pics of the various ports I've been to throughout Mediterranean Europe.

Oh goodness... well to be diplomatic the food is very good and full of wonderful flavors and hot spices that we just dont have in the US.

But curry gets old lol.

South Indian is way different than Northern Indian food, and the former was my favorite, much to my surprise. I really liked this dish called dosa marsala which was basically a thin pancake with a form of mashed potato in the middle.

I'll post my pics next week. I've had the time of my life, and have snapped about 600 photos. I need to go through them and publish them when I get back.

Btw Brighton on the south coast of England is triple YAY too... it's like Austin, Texas except with a twist of Harry Potter lol

That sounds amazing! I hope you really enjoy yourself out there, I've heard it is a really great experience.

Just got back, stopped in Brighton and London in the UK (with a train trip to Birmingham to watch Arsenal Football Club) which was just as fun.

I have too many pics!! It will take some time to go through them all. As soon as I get them sorted out and posted up to Flickr I will pass them on.
