I never cared that much about the game when it was new, so I didn't play it until I beat it to death, so it's still kinda fresh to play. With gas prices as high as they are it's a pain in the wallet to pick my girlfriend up, bring her to my house, then bring her home at night (about an hour and a half total TT), so I asked her to play a game with me online. After some brief browsing and a quick go at Perfect World (which I can't handle, the broken English hurts my brain), I decided to look into player run EQ servers.

Long story short, my dad, my girlfriend, and I are playing [really] casually on an EQ private server.

Interesting I didn't know the source code was open for public emulators

Man, if they're going to start EQ emulators, they should at least twist the rules around a bit to get rid of the bullshit in the game (heighten stat allotment per level and lower stat points on items to ditch the ridiculous itemcentricity).

Now if we could get our hands on some ShadowBane server software. . . . .

Hmmm, that would be entertaining, as long as we had a server that could host all of the NA/Euro guys and none of the Asians...

I got a 70 High elf Cleric on bristlebane i havent touched in awhile that is completely decked out compared to early 06s gear and a zillion AA's and pet levels


Dunno what classic rule set means but im stuck into the emo style of perfect world its funny and addicting

Both Shadowbane and EQ emulators with twisted rules sets would be very cool
