Why another coin...WHY!?!

I hate change, personally. If it was cool to carry a change purse around full of gold coins like ti was hundreds of years ago, I'd be down for it, but my wallet does me good!

Don't really mind it, not for or against, just whatever happens. Like sling said though, bills ftw, I find myself buying an entire meal ever week or 2 in pure change to reduce the 2-inch buildup of coins that makes my wallet pierce at my butt when I sit.

well the fact it would save the government a lot of cash would make me do what they did in Canada with the two dollar coin, and I'm sure eventually the 5 dollar will be a coin as well and they really wont give a shit what the people say cos it saves them money and well, unfortunately for people they need money o buy stuff and im pretty sure are not going to see someone giving them a 5 dollar coin and go, not its fine keep the change, point is just do it and bitch slap the people who are against it into using them only fools turn down the change.

We already have 2 different 1$ coins that no one uses.

Some things never go outta style. I dont mind coins at all TBH. They just need to be made so vending machines and other coin operated devices cann tell the difference between one and a quarter.

If they put the $1 symbol elsewhere and just left the statue in the middle they could hollow out the inner ring there to make it look fancier and save on materials. I bet that would cut out 25-35% of the material used... Maybe less, I'm not looking at the picture as I type.

I voted against. I also wouldnt mind if they got rid of the pennies, but thats my 2 cents.
