1) The housing area is really small, and also irregularly shaped. There isn't going to be room for much there. It's also really hard to fit 16x16's in.
2) There is also a housing area to the northwest, near sundown, although it isn't very big either.
3) It's possible that I missed it under some other icons, but I didn't see a specialty crafting station near the target area.
4) There appears to be a lot of chatter on the internet about going to two crowns.

Considering the inevitable connection snafu's and congestion associated with day 0, I suspect we aren't going to have a lot of success with that area. In addition, it doesn't really take advantage of the fact that you have a very large, very organized (to the outside observer, anyway ;) ) guild - basically anybody can solo themselves to the small farm and head to the area; thus, a lot of randoms are going to eat up plots too.

I would like to suggest a backup plan. While I was scouting (looking for specialty crafting stations in two crowns, actually). I noticed a very large, very unoccupied (<10%) housing area on the peninsula east of the big city in two crowns. It is by the water, and it has a specialty crafting station next to it. The reason that it is unoccupied is that it is restricted to medium houses/farmhouses, and I think also large farms (pumpkins).

While our numbers don't help us in racing to the small farm area right off the bat, they would help us in getting farmhouses and large farms established. The reason for this is that it will probably require a zerg to get across the water to complete the trade quest to get a large farm. We also need a bunch of small farms (anywhere) to generate the resources necessary for the trade quests, and for the farmhouses.

I don't want to talk your eyes off, but I would suggest that we should:
1) focus our earlier efforts on getting small farms down quickly anywhere we can. The early trade quests are in lilyut hills, anyway.
2) dedicate a group of people to getting as many small farms as they can in the first 4-5 hours (alts), at the expense of power leveling their mains, and generate as many mats as possible for the trade quests (for themselves, and others)
3) set a time (maybe T+12 hours), to attempt a mass run across the channel to get the large farm quest completed.
4) The people who have been leveling mains should be as high level as anyone on the server, and could provide escort/shotgun for the farmers trying to get across the channel. Hopefully there would be enough of us that we can keep the mobs/pirates cc'd till we get past.
5) Assuming we get some people through, we can set up a camp on the peninsula. Having a bunch of farms established there will make it easier to grow the trees we need for the ships to help more people complete the large farm quest, and so on.

Ok, here is my more detailed plan.

1) 1/3 of us, group (A), makes alts an rushes to a small farm for every alt. That should take about an hour per alt.
2) 1/3 of us, group (B), powers through the green quests as fast as they can - they are going to make farmhouses
3) 1/3 of us, group (C), just levels as fast as they possibly can - they are the escorts/sailors
4) Group (A), after placing all of their small farms, starts growing materials for the scarecrow quests, as detailed in
http://archeagefurniture.com/small-scarecrow-and-donkey-quest-walkthrough-west/.
5) Once group (A) has the materials for the scarecrow quests, start planting trees.

Here is where we have a choice. I suspect that at T+12 hours, group (A) will be ready to embark on the large farm quest. We need to get as many of these completed as possible, in order to plant the trees for the farmhouses and boats.

I have not completed the large farm quests, but I believe there are 2 ways to do it...

-- We can try a rowboat zerg. If we get 20 of us on rowboats, each with a passenger to ride shotgun, and we do it at T+12, there shouldn't be many people with catamarans that can chase us down. I think that perhaps we could get at least half of our traders into the target area. That would give us a lot of large farms, and a lot of trees as a result

-- We can wait until group C completes their quest line. By the time they finish, the first set of aspen trees should be ready to harvest. With any luck, we will have enough logs harvested to make a catamaran or 2. We can then pile on the catamarans and try to get the large quest done. Other people will also have them at that point, so I don't know if it will work or not. I suspect that if group B/C have been leveling hard, we will have enough numbers to pull it off.

These are the long term objectives, as I see them:

1) group A having 3-4 small farms and a large farm. We are going to need tons of wood for boats and farmhouses. The location doesn't really matter.
2) group B establishes farmhouses on the peninsula in Two Crowns. There is a lot of space, it is on the water, and there is a specialty crafting station nearby. It is farmhouses only (and maybe large farms), so if we get the farmhouses fast, we will have a great location to group up at.
3) group C levels up quickly enough to cover us in naval battles, and a handful of them have catamarans, to assist group A

As far as where the small farms go, I don't think the target area in Two Crowns is going to happen. It is too small, too irregularly shaped, and too popular. I, personally, I am going to try for Solzreed Peninsula. The southwest has a transportation hub nearby, and I believe it has a specialty station. The southeast was larger, if I remember correctly, and is near the airship terminal, so that would be good as well.

to summarize my preferences for plots:

farmhouses - two crowns peninsula - I think this should be our #1 priority.

gardens/farms/houses -

1) two crowns south (probably not going to happen)
2) Solzreed SW
3) Solzreed SE

Ultimately, though, I don't think the location of the small plots matters that much. If they are just growing trees (12H to harvest), we aren't going to be visiting them often.

Jet, you may want to pass on to them that the guide they are using is only half complete, there are two other quests after the ones in that guide to get the large farm. I made a post with a very short and concise guide ( That I copy and pasted) with all the mats you need in the public forums. Not to poop on their plan but its impossible for anyone to be ready at "T+12 Hours" Olives alone take about 12 hours to grow after they are planted (10 Hours if planted in Temperate), and you need multiple, 12, per person. The earliest even the best "farm rushers" will be able to do is around "T+36 Hours"

They are right about the farm houses though, rushing the green quests is very possible in 2 hours for the best group, 3-4 for a group that hasn't done it before probably. But the spot they are talking about, "Florida" as its known, is very small, has about enough room for about 20ish houses I think, thats the place I was wanting to go myself, but I'm going to play it safe.

In CoTP's vent last night the guild Tenacious has around 30-40 guys with founders rushing for Two Crowns. They said they can get 59 guilda starts in 2 hours. he recommended using Archery and Songcraft with speed buff for your skills and kiting enemies.

I saw the peninsula to the SE in Two Crowns as well. It was empty except for 5-6 plots. That is a better area imo for a guild group to drop houses, it's bigger than the other area. There are crafter/vendors at the base of the peninsula.
It will be interesting to see how many people are at headstart and heading to Two Crowns. Someone mentioned plots would cycle in 90 days when people left the game so there might be a 2nd chance for picking the prime guild spot down the road if things don't go as planned. Good luck everyone. I will see you at launch with the nubs.

I think that area can only hold farm houses.
