I thought the link was well written, provided lots of background, and wasn't from a perspective that would usually set the left's hair ablaze (this guy seems to have some liberal tendencies).

Proof that all Sini's blustering about us toeing a party line is just projection? As far as I can tell the only lefty organization that is sticking to their guns over the targeting and killing (rather than apprehension)of suspected terrorists is Code Pink. Clearly killing people with the push of a button is better than potentially water-boarding them... Whoever would have thought I'd agree with them about, well, anything?

My personal opinion is that we shouldn't have got involved with Afghanistan/Iraq. Imagine all that money spent on tax cuts, social programs, moon base... something else that fits your political agenda.

I don't like drone strikes, I don't like extra-judicial assassinations. What the alternatives, given that we did got involved in it (thanks, Obama!) ?

Hmmm, it feels strange to agree with Sinij on something these days. What a way to start the day.

The last time something like this happened.... a glitch in my CPU caused a temporal anomaly and opened up an inter-dimensional rift, and half of my missing left socks spewed forth.

Imagine my amazement seeing a stream of left socks emitting from the side of my PC. Today I relive that feeling.

I agree about the drones and assassinations. The alternative is to GTFO like he promised he would, seal up the borders, stop inciting illegal immigration, make legal immigration easier, and catch the people who try to come here to do us harm (which will be made easier by easing the legal immigration process since then the only people trying to come in illegally will be those with nefarious purpose).

Actually, Obama administration is fairly successful at getting us out this quagmire.

Iraq - we are out and country have not (so far) descended into all-out civil war of Sharia Law madness.

Afghanistan - looks like withdrawal is on schedule, the country will likely descend into Sharia Law madness, but at least Bin Laden's definition of Jihad as war against West/US was discredited.

More importantly, we are not in Syria, Egypt, Iran, Libya or Mali.
