I dont know ... afer playing Shadowbane for years, I think the dev team is doing a decent job with DF.

1 year into it, and they have had a number of patches, including the whole sea adventure patch in the fall .. along with deploying a new network\server setup (NA-1).

As client\server lead developer with teams of 12-20 over the years, I can tell you expecting more than 1-2 substantial updates in a year is pushing it ... especially in a production environment .. there is just too much regression testing required, thus the lead times to "fix" something ... rush it & you run the risk of breaking something else without proper regression testing.

An MMO is a very complicated client\server system ... hardware\software infrastucture, client code, server code, database schema\data updates .. it is a fucking nightmare, no matter how you dice & slice it.
