FULL LOOT PvP is there to equalize gear. This is the only valid purpose of it.

In DF1 it didn't achieve this goal, instead it increased grinding for everyone involved.

UO is good example of fool loot done right. GM-made gear, regs and you were good to go. If risky, you grab bone or go naked and you still do mostly allright. If you want to play risky you grab vanq, but that was painting huge target on yourself.

DF1 full loot system had none of this, instead it created naked rushes and created unwelcome grind.


really? i seem to remember always having at least 6 go bags ready and stacks of iron ect to make more as well
honestly yer point on that imo is off cuz the system in dfo was almost exactly like UO and worked almost identical.
only diff was magic vanq ect which with enchanting wasnt much different...
full loot isnt the only thing df had that made it awsome.
the fact that the combat was fast passed twitch skill based and amazing is what sold most on it full loot just helped to drive the idea home that this was the game for hardcore pvpers
