You are better off getting the Station Monthly Pass which includes PS1 access.

meh i got it last night while SWTOR servers were down for extended maintenance.

I plan on putting time in when I', not running SWTOR pvp

I'm in and downloading now.. wanted to do this awhile back but others weren't ready to jump so what the hell.. I rather learn more now about the game in general than a steep curve come launch day PS2.. Gives me some catch up time and of course learn from within the ranks :)

finally got patched up and played until 4:30 am :O

I'm BR 5 now nearly 6 after doing much of of the tutorial and getting xp from discovering the items.. oh and helping cap 3 bases and the entire planet last night.. Good times already :)

Ok, I've tried to start the game in admin mode several times, the Sony logo pops up and then disappears and the client shuts down. Thoughts?

That was happening to Uber as well but he fixed it. Make sure you have an SoE account and that you put your key in I think

You have to get the key and login to an SOE account via web browser and enter the key there.

It's not a registration to install/launch as it is an entitlement on the account.

Try www.soe.com and login then goto my Account and there should be a place to enter the code near the bottom. Once that's claimed try to login via the game. It really shouldn't allow you to start the game if you don't have the key on the subscription already though.. EQ2 never did and told me `No Subscription` when I had an all access pass but no key entitlement for the game itself.

I reinstalled last night and same problem so I'll try that after school, but I think the problem is on my end. It never gets to any kind of log in screen so...

Yea it's going to be a launcher that makes you log on then it will allow you to patch the game. From prior posts I thought you had gotten past that part and SOE games such as this and EQ, EQ2, etc have this new patcher that does cause issues like what your seeing. If you can lets hookup in vent and I'll try to have some things to try but clear your internet cache and possibly re-install Flash as it works off of these two elements primarily.

Well I am having the same client problem, cant get it to start after patching. Going to play with it today.

It patched? Mine wouldn't do even that. I fixed mine by uninstalling flash, clearing ie cache, and running the updated launcher that is linked in the sig of every mod on the support forums. After that mine patched and runs fine. On install of game be sure to run the exe as admin and then run the launcher in xp sp3 and admin.

People have a choice how to spend their free time, we choose to organize, watch for PS2 on the horizon, and some have chosen to rehearse in PS1, you chose to do otherwise. If you plan to play PS2 my recommendation is to start by getting on the same page. As Faction leader I will not be holding hands, if you don't show for meetings, don't read these forums, don't spend much time in vent, or are not keeping abreast of PS2 news, then you will have only yourself to blame, this stands for any and all KGB. The agenda is set, the course is clear, when the game becomes more definable a KGB Beta Recon Team will be dispatched, then a Pre-Launch Delta Team, and finally upon live fire a KGB deployment and assembly statement will be issued as to where and condition green established. Not just harping on you Kegir, I am just saying that we will not be scattered, and I refuse to see any last minute command decisions being made.

Drakis...I will pk you irl. This is what im saying because you didnt read my entire post you just quoted. Im not just harping at you but I am frusterated. In early November I reactivated planetside again...I rolled an NC hes now br16. I asked in this forum if anyone wanted to resub with me. Noone wanted too and you said . Whatever thats cool ..So I play for 2 months and noone resubbed or showed interest. I took videos of cloak tactics,me hacking,killing,destroying,frag stabbing,boomering etc. I unsubbed because I was playing with random people and I wanted to play with KGB. Now all of a sudden everyone is interested and I am going to have to wait till next month to resub and play with you guys. Can you see why im frusterated? So dont tell me about choices Ive made son or you may have a boomer waiting for you:) And yes I know I dont have any pull and dont attact people to games like Donk and since hes bored with swtor this is probably what happened( I assume). I didnt get bored with TOR, just got mad that biowares looting system for battlemasters is silly. So while they fix that(hopefully) we decided to do some research and prepare for PS2.

Noone at that time wanted to pay full price for PS1 and we found it for 10 bucks so everyone said what the hell.

Steadily playing is Icky, Tas, and myself. We have had guest appearances by Jet, Kaotik, Wolfgang and I will be working on a small writeup in the morning for anyone else interested in PS.

I am working weekends right now and only get to play 2-3 hours from friday night to early sunday morning. Other than that my week consists of more job hunting, getting ready for warrior dash and gaming.

I was describing the need for participation, something we do less of as time goes on. As I said I wasn't just harping on you Kegir, but if there is hurt feelings I apologize, but this soft skinned attitude is really going to hurt not just a few people, but all of us as a guild if it continues both in and out of games. I stand by my statement, and while Kegir had played earlier as he stated, I don't care for the implication that we need to be mass emailing people, calling them on the phone, putting up large easy to read billboards, or any other nonsense to inform people. Nothing was kept secret about those playing PS1, and it is just as much each members responsibility to stay informed as it is for me to answer questions and address concerns related to PS2.

Every time I turn around someone is getting upset, I am even guilty of it, however to me this is a poor example to set. It does not give me hope if that is what I am to expect from the Faction. If people would rather just wing it, or let it fly then I am sure arrangements can be made. Of course we've all seen how that works, perhaps you'd rather have a softer squeeze-ably fresh Faction leader, who will help you over every bump in the road and cushion your bottom from any harsh realities, we could do that too. The choice is always yours. I know what I am going to do, what I want to do, and how I am going to do it.

Choose, because we can stop the whole train right now.

The real need in PS1 is people to play for max teaming purposes, the guys playing right now cannot do enough on their own. See Donk/Tas/Itchy for specific needs. I know the guys would like to BFR cert but the reqs are tough to get with only 2-3 playing regularly.

Unless your inside a tower. Then JH > all. All they have to do is 3rd person view( which PS2 wont have in infantry mode..thank god..) and rush you and its game over. I prefer the MCG though for all purpose HA. I think im imprinted for BFR guys.
