I was reading a bad device driver for iTunes from Apple has caused this before.. Another one of those very specific "general errors" from Microsoft :S

There is more to the bad pool error ... should be some additional values on the blue screen (0x0000000C, things like this), see if you can write them down & post it.

Hey Guys, this is a laptop that has run DFO in the past. I played several heavy games and had no problem.

I tested the memory for 24 hours and had no problems.

I think I am on to something. I found someone with the SAME laptop I have that had this issue with the wireless driver. Here is the deal. I am wired at home and the wireless was disabled all the time. Now suddenly with the wireless enabled, I am having the problem!

I am getting the latest driver RIGHT NOW and trying it!!!

I searched on the error above.

FIXED!

It was the Realtek Wireless Driver.

When I am at home, I am wired. So the only thing that changed when I came up here was the move from wired to wireless networking.

I updated the driver, and PRESTO.

Now I just have to rebuild my interface from scratch for a third time. BUT I AM BACK!!

I keep know my playtime should improve.. but it may take till the first of the year. I gave mama a short run down of what I have going on the next few weeks. BUSY BUSY BUSY

Lesson learned: Blue Screen BAD_POOL_CALLER almost always points to a hardware & driver issue ... and they can be a bitch to troubleshoot. Good for you on figuring this one out.
