Ok..I am at a loss..anyone else having issues running DFO on a super machine? I never had any problems running the game in my single card, nVidia 8800 GTX, Dell XPS machine running in windows xp.

Now, I have this machine and I am crashing every 5 minutes..the last one so bad I hit blue screen of death and total fail..on a brand new system. Anyone see an issue with any of this or knows of a fix to the possible issue, let me know;

I dunno but thats almost the same exact system I want to get... Probably some sort of configuration issues with DF, drivers, and OS??? I'm no longer a computer expert anymore but maybe try re-installing all your major drivers and check to see if your cpu/mb has updated drivers too.

I'd check to make sure you increase your virtual memory in windows and maybe play with ctrl alt delete window, right click on dfo.exe and then set affinity. From there select one of the different CPUs, I've heard some say checking cpu 2 on multi core systems works best. But play with it and see...

Perhaps there is an issue with the dual video cards and dfo... maybe check forums to see if anyone else having same problems.

Maybe someone else has suggestions on how to improve/fix this for you too. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Thomas,

In narrowing in, it appears I am dealing with an SLI issue. I am going to disable that and see. I will let you know if that clears it up.

DFo doesn't take advantage of SLI, so pull out a card and see if the problem persists.

I'm running the game on the

Core 2 Duo E8600 (3.3Ghz cores), but lower cache, I think 5MB
ATI 4870x2 Radeon 1024mb - it's a beast, and though it's ATI, it's fine
8 gigs of 1060 ram

etc etc etc

Mine runs totally fine, man.
