We haven't been given anything that resembles a specific date. What Aventurine has said is that they're all ready, and they even have beta servers online. They're currently negotiating with publishers to see if they wish to self-publish or not.

I doubt I'll be able to give you anything better than "soon" until that decision is made. My personal opinion is that I don't think you'll be waiting long before you see a beta. Also, Aventurine believes the beta will be relatively short, so you can expect a full-release in short term crystal ball range.

Really, until they have settled on a publisher, they won't be able to announce a date and remain honest. MMOs are notorious for fictional release dates that they can always push back. I'm glad that they're trying to be candid with us.

I wish birthdays were as fictional as publish dates.

I don't care I think everyone is just chomping at the bit for something good to happen. Even if it bombs the first week at least we'll all have something to cry about. I remember the first month of playing WOW, took like an hour just to get on the server. And then all those fun updates/crashes/rollbacks *sigh* those were the days.

Making and then pushing back the beta date repeatedly is, imho, just as bad as them pushing back a release date. I've settled for seeing it when I see it. I'll believe that a release is soon when they have an open beta available :

They had all the right ideas, just not the technology
to implement them at the time. If they were able to redo
