Radical left will inevitably eat itself, I don't know how long it will take, but seeing how feminism is already essentially dead, I think it would take less than 5 years to completely burn out and become a universally despised 4-letter word.

Nostalgia and resentment could be enough to catapult Trump back into the presidency.

But nobody is Trumpier than Trump. There’s no Trumpism that’s bigger than Trump. “It’s about a movement, not a man” is a venerable cliché applied to populist politics. In this case, though, it’s about a man, not a movement.

I think Trump could definately win, especially if Harris is the nominee. Its a real possibility. Although you never know what might happen between now and election, as things stand the only states Harris boosts Democrats in are states that they were going to handily win anyhow.

Trust In Media Is In Free Fall

I think mainstreaming idea of 'fake news' was one of the key contributions of Trump's presidency. The media got so enraged by TDS that they went from lies of omission and plausible deniability to explicit lies and fabrications that become impossible to ignore.

I recall I was outraged that a US presidential candidate would coordinate with foreign intelligence. Then absolutely nothing came out of it for year+ of investigations. Then after more investigations turns out that the whole thing was not credible and was used as pretext by both media and FBI to sabotage Trump. How could you trust media after such monumental malfeasance?

Seems as though the Steele Dossier was full of shit all along. Remember when every Democrat and person in the Mainstream Media was saying how everything in it was truth. Time for everyone to eat crow. I'm sure it will be barely covered in the MSM.

Trigger warning: Comparison to Trump in the article.

The Democratic Party’s progressive wing is on a kamikaze mission

Quote
The news for President Biden keeps getting worse. His approval has fallen to 38 percent among registered voters — nearly matching President Donald Trump’s all-time low. But unlike Trump, Biden began his presidency with almost 56 percent approval. No recent president has fallen from grace so far, so fast, so early in his presidency.

As a candidate, Biden promised unity, moderation and bipartisanship. Instead, he was quickly captured by his party’s progressive wing, which convinced him that he should be a transformational president. But voters didn’t put him in office to be a transformational president.

At that signing ceremony, Biden basked in the bipartisan glow and said “the bill I’m about to sign into law is proof that despite the cynics, Democrats and Republicans can come together and deliver results.” But Biden could have held that ceremony months earlier when he still enjoyed majority support — if he had not given his blessing to progressives to take the infrastructure bill hostage as leverage to pass a separate, Democrats-only multitrillion-dollar social spending monstrosity.

Unfortunately, niether party has any significant bloc that is willing to separate concerns to achieve any achievable minor good - instead trying to hold all concerns hostage to reach what they feel to be a major one. Which is unfortunate in many regards.

Build back better is dead, as Sen. Manchin just re-affirmed that he would be voting No.

At this point the best thing Congress could do for the country is implement Term limits. There needs to be a serious cleansing of career Politicians. Especially those in leadership positions.
