I'd bet most of conservatives here have no clue what USF/US is, aside from 2$-ish fee on the phone bill. So aside from typical GOP racism "Niggers voting for Nigger president" issue what is there to see?

How about the fact that putting food on the table is more important than a health care plan. A survivor does what is necessary to keep himself and his family going the best he can. Government programs do not promote that kind of drive. They promote dependency. Obviously things should be done to make health care more affordable, but having everyone else pay for yours via taxes isn't the way to make it work. Otherwise, everyone would just depend on everyone else. What happens when you run out of other people's money?

This is the most asinine thing you've posted lately. I'm sure that all of us who actually care about how our money is spent have investigated every charge on our phone bills, seen the ridiculous taxes we pay for the "privilege" of having a phone and know very well that there is a small fee on there to help out folks who cannot pay their phone bills. There is a similar charge on your power bill and an option to donate to help folks who can't pay their bills. Do you ever donate?

The idea that this video is racist is absolutely ludicrous. This is a perfect example of the way you guys spin at 6 million RPM to try and claim that any refutation of Obama's policies is racist. Totally partisan and totally baseless.

One problem I have with that Atlantic article, is that it says that the USF is not a tax.

It is. It exists due to a congressional mandate, and, going by John Roberts writing for the majority on the SCOTUS ruling regarding the ACA (aka Obamacare) , the USF is indeed a tax.

You don't get to decide this. Actually, you don't get to decide that some member of society get to live undignified lives in poverty lacking basic necessities.

Americans won't do these jobs because you can't survive in America doing these jobs. Unlike some seasonal workers, they don't get to go home and live at much, much lower cost of living most of the year.

I am still waiting for the list of "jobs Americans won't do", because I will really make you own up to it.

My wife has exprince in banking as a teller, copy and print centers, and retail. The only job she could get was cleaning Hotel rooms for min wage, she is the only one that speaks english, the guest at the hotel see her working and request her for thier rooms. This is one of the 12 million jobs "Americans dont want to do."

Those jobs are out there, people just need to apply themselves.

True story to follow:

Was in line in HEB to pay for the grocery run I just completed. In front of me is a lady with a basket so full of stuff she should have had a motorcade and police escort. The contents of said basket fell into two categories:

Meat of all kinds. Steak, hamburger, bacon, etc.

Alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol.

Total bill was around the $300 mark.


To pay for this, she whipped out her food stamp debit card ( to pay for the meat ) then whipped out a wad of cash to pay for all the alcohol ( since you can't use foodstamps to buy alcohol )

This after a ten minute debate with the cashier over the price of some of the wine she had bought . . . . :|

Somewhere in my head I heard the " snap " of a safety relay kicking in that prevented me from choking her to death with the string of sausages in her cart . . .


I'm sorry Jet, but while some folks really do need the assistance of the government, the system is beyond abused by many others. Some are content to receive bare minimum assistance in lieu of doing the bare minimum of work required for the same benefits.


In short, there are a LOT of lazy MF's on this planet who PREFER government assistance rather than make an honest dollar their entire life.
