Welcome. First off, DO NOT get dissheartened. Contrary to propoganda, you will not be able to stand up to a vet in PvP in the first few days. Hell, not even the first month unless you have 23 hours a daay you can devote.

Second, dig through these forums. There are some excellent and still very viable threadss here which tell you what to do and which direction to go. Make sure you follow them. It is the most frustrating and satisfying game I have played since UO and I look forward to getting to know you.\
