Spanyard : I already use my dwarf alt to harvest all kind of things (wood, iron and herbs) and yes, good to get mounts.
But I would suggest putting steedgrass instead of mount until expension so we're ready to craft new kind of mounts if there's some. And grind someone's taming if needed.
