Yeah, I've listened to that guy before, and agree with him on some points.

However, he's basically telling us that Jesus didn't exist simply because of all the coincidences that align with him; basically attempting to divert us away from the Real Truth: Regardless of how fucked up organized religion is (and I fully believe that with ALL religions) Jesus did indeed exist. His existence was chronicled by the Romans who hung him from a cross; along with this is numerous archeological evidence, including the scrolls of Mary Magdalene that was conveniently omitted from the collaboration called the original Bible (watch the History channel) which spoke of Jesus on multiple ocassions.

The problem is: so many people want to believe Jesus didn't exist simply because they don't believe in Christianity. I don't know if they've realized this or not, but Jesus wasn't a Christian either. That came around after his death. Jesus was very much real - just as real as Plato and a myriad of other extremely wise philosophers that have existed in history.

The bottom line for me: I scoff at both atheism and extreme right ring religionists: The former because they hate religion to the point that they fail to look at simple historical evidence proving Jesus' existence (whether he was a just a philosophising carpenter or a Prophet or THE Son of God can be debated forever); and the latter - because they're so blinded by brainwashing that they can't wake up and realize that both the New and Old Testaments aren't whole - a lot was omitted for the sake of stronger control over people, and to ensure the power of the church (total bullshit and totally anti-spiritual - I doubt Jesus would have condoned any of it if he were present).
