You know that as soon as the security DOES taper off and return to the former ways, THAT'S when the terrorists will strike. Why the hell would they try it when security is at full alert?

Preventative measures are far better than death IMO.

Yap, the old "Frog in the stewpot" analogy works well here. If we knew for certain that the "Leaders" had no ulterior motives and simply wanted things to be safer, temporarily, then tightened security and alerts wouldn't be a problem. However, oft-times that isn't the case, so we're stuck with a lose-lose situation.

Remember back to the 80s? Ever watch a movie that was rated PG in the 80s? You realize that now it would be rated PG13? I've noticed this more and more, and that's just one small example with the slow boil in the stew pot that has come in the past 20 years alone.
