From first glance, it looks like Fallout 3, Online - which is totally awesome.

1. What would you say are the things that stand out about this game?

2. What positive things about this game have you guys noticed in comparison with previous MMOs?

3. What negative things about this game have you guys noticed in comparison with previous MMOs?

1. What would you say are the things that stand out about this game?

- Story-line
- Sandbox look, feel and playstyle
- HUGE role-play
- Character planning, pre-design and careful skill (AP) point spending to build your spec (lots of different directions to build a toon AND to gimp a toon lol)
- PvP zones are seamlessly inserted into the game (similar to UO there are invisible "lines" that toggle the PvP, exactly like UO and Shadowbane - Kings Cross town guard line)
- Group/clan based PvP (buffs, heals, etc)
- No instances (least that I can find)
- Crafting is DEEP in content
- Skill based out the ass (melee and FPS style combat)
- Items, can I say TONS of items, weapons, clothing, armor etc I have not seen a collection like this since SWG
- Char can carry up to 6 different hot keyed weapons/playstyles (2 handed weapons - golf club/2x4/pole with cement on it lol, rifle, 2 hand pistols, 2 hand held knifes/bats/lawnmower blades etc gernades, poisoned stuff)
- Right and left click on mouse toggles weapon in associated hand. So I can pistol shoot your ass by toggling both buttons, lol

2. What positive things about this game have you guys noticed in comparison with previous MMOs?

- 1 seamless server/world server (Darkfall, EvE)
- Non-linear progression
- Character avatar uniqueness (dyed clothing, weapons, etc.)
- Crafting (SWG pre CU style)
- TONS of skill books, items etc.
- Salvage/resource nodes GIVE XP (small amounts but still...)
- Can shoot off mounts
- No level cap on PvP zones

3. What negative things about this game have you guys noticed in comparison with previous MMOs?

- PvP is only is designated zones.
- Needs balancing (melee in pvp is all gimp atm)
- No looting
- Death needs some sort of item drop (to stimulate/keep crafting economy in check)
- Takes forever to craft a V8 Interceptor (and I WANT ONE LOL)

I have also recognized a few Darkfall clans that are currently playing. The Goons in particular....lol

I would more than happily play with you guys and help roll out a KGB splinter maybe if you have a few playing.

Nice thoughtful feedback man - appreciate it. Good talking to you again, as well. I'm going to look this game up. I really loved Fallout 3 for that post-apocalyptic, anarchist/vigilante feel - this looks like a great online answer.

Is this in beta now, or already released?

Far as Beta/Release, it is almost one month into Release. It does not feel like an indy developed game at all. I was very surprised by that, esp getting hosed with Darkfall and Mortal Online "beta" (aka "failure" lol).

You can order it many different ways thru digital download. I picked it up via Steam.

Hare, there is only 1 "server". Like in Darkfall/EvE.

My character name is 'Bigcountry'

Beginning October 23, the wastelands of Fallen Earth will be home to throngs of unwelcome Infected for more than a week in the zombie-killing spree referred to as “Days of the Dead.” To help combat these Infected, the development team of Fallen Earth is releasing thousands of trial keys through media partners MMORPG.com, TenTonHammer.com, Massively.com and EscapistMagazine.com -- check out these sites for more information.

"The trial keys give gamers fifteen free days to explore Fallen Earth during an exciting event,” said Jessica Orr, Marketing Manager for Fallen Earth. “When players upgrade their account to live service, all of the items gained during the trial will be available."

During the Halloween extravaganza, players begin by visiting mission hubs to take reward-based repeatable missions from NPCs to destroy zombies (coordinates for these NPCs are listed in FAQ). The Bankers, a neutral faction in Fallen Earth, are also offering a special zombie-fighting weapon for killing 100 of the Infected. Players get their choice of a signature shotgun, a sawed-off shotgun or a cricket bat.

Players can also make scarecrows, made from pumpkins that are gathered from Cooking Merchants or in nearby pumpkin patches. Be on the lookout for the rare drop of the "Pumpkin of Extraordinary Merit," which grants a five percent boost on many stats and a ten percent boost on health regeneration for an hour.

For more information on Days of the Dead, visit Fallen Earth’s FAQ. Check participating partner sites for information on key drop dates and quantities. Fans can also stay tuned for more information through the Fallen Earth Facebook page and through Twitter @FallenEarth.
