I cant believe how incredibly slow trying to download this torrent file is..I have bee going for 3 days now and I am only halfway downloaded..I am running fiberoptic aroung 5G downloads normally but im snailing through this thing bad..
Any suggestions or help ?

The KGB torrent or the official Darkfall one? I never tried either to be honest, in Beta I had to download the installer, and it patched the entire 8gb for me, which took about a day and a half or something.

If I knew how to fix it I would have replied. Not all of us area brainiacs like Syev. Sorry you are having trouble with it Garrot but you will get it eventually.

I downloaded the beta client, then I updated the .exe the day before launch, then all I had to do was patch when I got in game. I do not think this works anymore so that is the only idea I could offer.

Yeah, what Bib said... Are you trying to download from KGB or the official torrent Aventurine released? Have you checked if your ports are open appropriately? What torrent client are you using?

These are the basics, let us know and we can work from there...

I would stick with it. Some ISP's cap torrent downloads.

If you are desporate, I could sey up a direct FTP for you and maintain it.

Check to ensure your firewall or router has the appropriate
ports open and forwarded to the correct IP on your local
network. Torrent speeds are greatly impacted if you don't
open those ports up. You can still download the torrent, but
the speed will be agonizingly slow.

The best way I can explain it is it works on a credit system.
As you allow others to pull a file from you they, in turn,
allow you to pull from them. If you have the BT ports sealed
off ( normally for security ) remote clients will not see you
returning the favor and will stop or slow the flow of info to
you soon afterwards.

That would be my first point to check if I were in the
business of doing anything with torrents

Thanks for the replies..And yes it is from the Darkfall website..As far as opening ports go, I wouldn't even know where to start on that one..I'm 5 days running the download and I am 95% done so I will just stick it out it should be done by this afternoon hopefully
