So I've decided to jump into DF with you guys. Whats happening on the beta front? Any dates? I know, I know read the threads. Just flame me and answer the question ok?

Looking forward to kicking ass with you guys.

I hope we can get some of those old SB crew to join up as well. Im also really looking forward to meeting some of the newer KGB members. I'd love for nothing else but for us to hit DF hard with a nice force of people. We proved in SB that we can kick ass, but I still hear our old enemies dissing us on the boards. Its time we shut them up for good and DF seems to be the place to do it.

Edit: Btw Elph, Jet. What do you guys think about moving the Darkfall forum to the top of the faction sites? It will be the main KGB faction once the game comes out, so we want to attract as many players to the game as possible:)

But look when i posted about KGB playing darkfall it was in 2005 and time just keeps ticking we'll see only time tells and so far its been real quiet from the time front

As far as DF goes, I'm of the opinion that it is grinding it's way slowyly to beta realease, but in software, nothing is ever simple. When it does come out, I think it will be a return of the good old days for the KGB, with a game that has PvP with some teeth in it, but we will just have to be patient for a bit longer.

Guess Ive got some work cut out for me. Need to catch up on the game mechanics etc. Imo its important we have as much knowledge about the game as possible, so we dont get left in the dust.

Like Derid said, it's alot of speculation now, they don't release much information. So that's good news for you and other new followers, you don't have much to catch up on.

Take a look at their world map though and learn the races and where each one starts out. That's some of the only real info we have. Other than that you probably already know it's not a loot based game so items wont play a large role in your pvp ability; and that it's a full loot system. Oh and we get to have boats and battleships!

And mounted combat, so cavalry is an option as well!

Owain did you notice in the video they showed damage being done to the player (the one holding the camera basically) when the Orc told his warthog mount to ram at him? Pretty cool!

Since mounts do damage and the game actually has the physics coded into it to allow for the concept of a charging mount plowing through infantry on foot... I think we can look forward to some funny ass scenes where a patrol of KGB in heavy armor and all mounted come charging into a group of enemies on foot at some mob farming spot! The initial plowing through their group would probably cause their healer to go oh shitz! and have to do a group heal.
