I went for "Knights of Glory and Beer" and not "KGB"

to me the only reason to change it is to make it easier to hide
with the name and guild tag

and as I have no plans to change my name form "Instrument" to "Tool"

I doubt there is any real benefit so I say lets state who we are nice and clear

ps as we are now in 2014 should it not be "FSB"

I see your point, but we then open someone else to taking the KGB tag and undermining our history.

I went with KGB for that reason.

The main issue with tags is that currently I made the guild as the full spelling. However, in pvp situations it is our disadvantage. The player may hide behind a tree in a house, etc. however, your tag will stick out from the tree or go through the house wall alerting an enemy that a red is right there ruining the element of surprise. It has happened already several times and that's why people have asked about shortening the name.

technically, the KGB as in secret service is now called SVR. the FSB is the federal police entity. The KGB had different directorates under the same name. When the USSR fell, the KGB directorates were spun off into entirely different organizations with separate leadership.

With that being said, based on the reasons provided by our PVP'ers, I'd say shortened tag of KGB would be beneficial after all.

Now back to the the topic at hand. The use of KGB is a tactical advantage at view distances and doesn't leave us with a giant Clan Arrow over our heads.
