Taxes already got cut, now Tea Party/GOP circled the wagons, made a pledges to do it or see it all burn and still are working on cutting taxes. Have you seen tax cuts in Ryan's Plan, that what Romney is running on and that is what GOP position as of today.

What I am arguing is that current low tax level are unsustainable, and any and all arguments against raising taxes are a bunch of selfish hot air.

Our discussion was not about the GOP/Ryan plan. It was about what I like to call the Stockman plan, which is currently my preferred plan due to my own analysis that it would be the most effective.

Whats my analysis worth? Probably nothing if you arent me. But that was what we were discussing, not Paul Ryan.

Plus Bernanke already raised everyones taxes.. need to address semi-independent entities playing god with our currency and economy before we can sensibly address tax revenue originating from where it should - that is bills in Congress.

Well, I view this as a progress. At least you are distancing yourself from Ryan's plan.

The only plans in the general public sphere I consider viable are the Ron Paul plan, and the David Stockman plan. Stockman plan involved effective tax increases, however in the context of meaningful reform... as I have said throughout the thread....

Ryans plan is simply less bad than Nancy Pelosis plan... but its still bad.
