Guilds like the Winterblades are so entrenched in their idea of how a "real" guild should act like, they sometimes lose the fact that not everyone plays the game for the same reasons, and that victory, especially when with allies, is relative to the situtation.

However, that's not to say that this is totally pointless. WB is the type of guild that will dissuade the johnny-come-lately guild from attacking them by displaying an "elite" persona on the forums, because of the fear factor that they associate with their guild,

i.e. "If you grief us, we have no compunction to just mindlessly suicide attacking your guild. Even if we lose our city, we don't care, because we are crazy."

And hey, as much as I hate to admit it, their PR serves their purpose. Their members still think their the best, and apparently they've never lost a battle cause they can spin. Sure, it's all half-truths and elaborating, but their play style is solely to grief and nothing else, so it does fit their profile.
