We left CoTP after Darkfall in order to form our own gaming community back in 2011. We are about 30 members strong and will likely bring about 15 dedicated members into ArcheAge.

If you accept us as allies, we just need to know what server you plan to play on. Our guild has currently decided on playing as West but the final vote phase won't be complete until Tuesday the 9th. Hopefully CoTP will want Ally as well, I saw post somewhere around here that mentioned it in passing.

Please feel free to reply back and I look forward to your response,

Crafting Daisy Chains for maximizing Labor Pools: Alchemy, Armor, Weapons

We are not focusing early game on City/Castle building. Focus on your character development and material acquisition and any crafting and gear you want. We will be rolling with friends on head start and focus on class development, mercantile, gear atonement and use that to leverage ourselves into the City-PvP end game.

Class Balance and Leveling: Focus on a build that works well in a 5 man cube. Level a single build through to be ready for PvP/Instances. Then work a second or third build and the second and third gear sets. Class synergy is extremely important for open world PvP and the instanced dungeons. Solo centric non synergyzied builds is what Alts and 3rd and 4th builds unlocked on your main are for. The gear grind is a bitch, you have been forewarned.

Actions:
Zhou- Contact CoTP (On Namia)
Donk - Contact Purple Dragons
If going to Ollo contact - Mercantille
Server Admin Setup: Add Bandit/Arkh
Tagging our Clan Allies as Visitor in TS.
Setting up addition channels in TS for AA
Posted By: Zhou Re: Allies - 09/06/14 02:29 AM
Server admin for Arkh and Bandit, no. Server admins are limited not giving too many people access. I can make them officers which will give basic rights of moving and tagging. That is if they are officers of Archeage.

Channels and clan tags will be setup shortly for you.

Have Bandit contact Cotp as I do not plan to play.
Posted By: Tasorin Re: Allies - 09/06/14 02:30 AM
Good enough. That was the intent.
Posted By: Zhou Re: Allies - 09/06/14 02:41 AM
Tasorin, Arkh, Bandit and Donk have been assigned as officers for ArcheAge, if they are no longer in that role then they will default back to their original rank.

Your additional channels have been created, any additional needs let me know.

When i receive the ally list I will make ranks and permissions for them. Visitors can't enter official game channels.

I was looking at the server list on the forums, which server were we going to roll on?

I believe they were leaning towards Ollo but will not be decided till the Wednesday meeting most likely.

OK Thanks is anyone going to be playing it this weekend up to head start?

A few people have, but what servers they are on I'm not sure.
Posted By: Tasorin Re: Allies - 09/06/14 07:09 PM
We rolled some toons on Ollo for open beta for the weekend just to stress test a couple of things to level 20. I don't think many people are going to play this weekend in the Open Beta cycle.

Get on TS though and see if anyone is.

Tia from OTG contacted me on the Oracle.

Please send an email to him at: csclifton@gmail.com

I sent him back a Oracle PM that we were rolling the West Faction and were tentatively looking at Ollo, but would know by Wed of this coming week.

Can we atleast get several more people to have an admin status that allows us to move guests etc into other channels, This doesnt have to be a full power server admin, just some basic admin rights like moving people, creating channels etc. Its a little ridiculous that we have like 6 people that can do these things and 4 of them are never around

I've began to play some already. I think my Rank was 8 when I left. Of course Vvolfgang is the in game name. I seen someone rolling around with the name KGB not sure if that is actually someone from KGB or not.

I understand what you are getting at but it isn't necessary. If you registered you can move around. Unless you reinstall or constantly change PC's would this be an issue. Allies will be setup to maintain their own members or one of the 4 listed officers can assign them. The faction is just getting finalized I'm sure once things settle more will be available.

Channel and permissions are server admin only and move features are built into the rank of a Justice or higher. So server faction leaders all have move and register ability to Knight. It isn't a side feature given permission. If necessary you can contact one of the select few SA's or a server admin. I'm in ts3 75% of the day just idle if needed, in my channel.

BTW: Currently 14 who can move and register.

You seem to be doing a good job organizing AA. I'm sure things will go smoothly.
Posted By: Zhou Re: Allies - 09/06/14 11:52 PM
"Anisa" contact me. They joined up with OTG after we dropped off Alpha. They plan on staying part of that guild. So permissions should be removed. I also believe "Tact" and "Muddvayne" were part of that group.

Wished them well on their gaming adventures.

Donk can you please get in contact with CotP by Wednesday's meeting.
Posted By: Zhou Re: Allies - 09/10/14 10:33 AM
This is from Elric COTP. Whoever is running this gig should get on this. If we're getting into a 7 man alliance for Auroria purposes, there will be a need of a HC. vvv

Alright, so here's what we know thus far:

COTP is officially going to be on the Ollo server, West faction. Tenacious Gamers and Illegitimus are already committed to allying with us.

Old Timers Guild (OTG) and The Older Gamers (TOG) are both going to be on Ollo per the latest contact I've had with their leaders, and they will very likely ally with us as they have done so in the past. That leaves you guys (KGB) and Crimson Skies. Overall, that would be a total of 7 like-minded guilds that could be allied together.

The main enemy alliance on Ollo is run by Evenstone Pact. They have Kingdoms of Valor and Red Dragon Dynasty allied with them, and a number of smaller guilds that aren't worth mentioning specifically. I know Dark Legion is also claiming to be rolling East on the Ollo server, but I don't know much about them.

We are planning on holding an Ollo West alliance meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) night on the COTP Mumble server (Address: 74.201.57.188, Port: 64738) at 9:00pm CST. This is by invitation only, so we aren't advertising it anywhere just to make sure no enemies crash the party. ;) Hopefully, being an hour after your meeting it shouldn't conflict with you guys too much.

Do you know who from KGB will be running your ArcheAge chapter, so I can contact them directly?
Posted By: Selenian Re: Allies - 09/10/14 01:23 PM
I've been snooping....err "researching" a lot over the past few days about stuff, from what I've seen, several OTG members have left and joined this Tenacious gamers. While that could be nothing, I could easily see that becoming a source of friction and drama in this "alliance" if OTG were to join.

I know a lot of people here have known them for years, but from my personal experiences with them , while most of them are pretty cool people, they tend to make whatever alliance all about them and and they really, realllly aren't very good at organizing things and it becomes a cluster****. I'm just a foot soldier, and happy to be one, but for my two cents- I wouldn't be in favor of an alliance with them.

That said however, these tenacious gamers really have their ducks in a row, I see that as being a strong ally, ecspecially on the crafting side of things, and from what I seen they are also planning to land rush Two Crowns, although going for the Northern Beach area. I haven't been able to find anything about Illegitimus, though I think I remember they were a big pvp guild in GW2.

It goes without saying COTP and CSKY would be strong allies. On that note, unless Grim took them away in the past week, I still have basic admin rights on Cotp's mumble from ESO, so I can move people around and give people the KGB tag on there if anyone is planning to attend that meeting.
Posted By: Tasorin Re: Allies - 09/10/14 02:46 PM
I am betting that after our meeting concludes, some of us will be heading over to the CotP mumble. I don't disagree with your analysis, and frankly this went from 10-20 KGB and our close allies to Darkfall CotC levels in about a weeks worth of time.

I actually expressed this concern yesterday on the KGB TS to Donk. Short story, if we focus on leveling, gear, gold, mercantile and ourselves it won't matter what shit show any Alliance turns into. Granted, my concern was not wanting to deal with bullshit and the drama llama.

OTG recently expressed concern with rolling on Ollo and wanted to stay off of the Arenzieb(sp) cluster. So if we stay on Ollo there is a chance they may choose to not roll with us. We shall find out this tonight hopefully now that some of the basic head start launch questions have been answered with yesterdays live stream.
Posted By: Zhou Re: Allies - 09/10/14 04:15 PM
That's the problem most people wait till the last minute to say I'm in. Makes planning difficult. Morlander had that at Darkfall launch. Small beta numbers and all of a sudden the entire army arrived. Hard to account for all that. I'm sure you guys will work it out.

OTG not my favorite, disorganized and well don't care about their allies just themselves. At least their Darkfall Unholy Wars crew was that way. COTP's alliance and our alliance would be a good combination putting initial numbers probably around 100+ between us.
Posted By: Bandit Re: Allies - 09/10/14 07:23 PM
That is an hour after our meeting starts. I can hop over them and talk with them after ours. Probably should have one more either Tas or Donk.
Posted By: Tasorin Re: Allies - 09/10/14 07:36 PM
If given a choice, I would probably rather work with CotP than OTG. Just my personal opinion based on the contact I have had with both Clans over the years and the Players currently running those Factions in AA.

First Reactions:

OTG- That's great, you can run as our protection when we are running huge trade pack runs. That will totally change our Mercantile dynamic with guards...

CotP - Excellent, we would love to kill furies with you guys again. Come over to our Mumble for our meeting on Wednesday and we can work things out.

QFT

That is why we are focusing on Character progression, gear, gold and war assets. Our Mercantile efforts will be an out reach of our core goals. This way when the shit hits the fan and bitches start acting like bitches do, we won't really give two shits because we are the motherfucking Jolly Green Giants doing all the pooping on kids.

Than month two rolls, and everyone leaves the game.

Emotions run high in these games. Take Brommis for instance... he's the most feminine male I've ever met in a game. That and he wears watermelons in place of underwear.

Well, we saw what OTG really wanted. I was hoping they would actually give full disclosure as to why they didn't want to roll Ollo but they declined to say and had no VIABLE reason.

We are going to be with a good group so I think we should have some good times.

I'm curious as to the REAL reason as well. I don't really buy it's all because of former OTG members going to OLLO with their own clan. Oh well... kill'em all
Posted By: Hare Re: Allies - 09/12/14 08:41 AM
It's crazy that everyone is talking about having 150-300 players in their guild. I am still trying to get my mind around it. I keep thinking of GW2 as a point of reference, I guess I need to think bigger. This will be crazy pvp if the groups are rolling as they expect, even with a fraction of members from all these allies we should have numbers to roll with most times. I am getting more excited about this.

What's crazy is a 2200+ queue to get onto Ollo

Or that they only added to servers for a F2P launch and didn't raise server limits. All the servers are maxed out, going to turn away business if people have to wait 3 hours to get in.

One of the other dirty things they did was they changed the Queue interface. It no longer shows "Patrons" in one queue and "Free" in a second queue with a susinct statement that Patron's get right of access in the queue first. Now the queue interface just shows you the total number of users in the queue and your wait time so that Free players don't know how far back in the queue they truely are.

Trion didn't think anyone would notice that tiny fact. They already got called out on it. Lastly, adding 2 servers to head start and not raising the server limits in a game where the land acquisition is hugely important for the long term positioning is just smacking of terribads running the show over at Trion.

One of the 1st things someone mentioned after the patch. Bad business practice, trying to conceal the fact your being screwed over not a sub. Have the balls to say the truth.
Posted By: Tasorin Re: Allies - 09/17/14 04:42 PM
It's why the one good thing Trion has done is lost in the seas of honest complaints. Trion quickly put in code that allowed for CTD and disconnects to relog into the game withing a small window (5 mins) without having to go through the queue again.

This is why I had 32 hours in the queue, because up until Tuesday's patch that code wasn't included even after everyone was telling them to put it in a month and a half ago.
Posted By: Hobbitlauncher Re: Allies - 09/18/14 03:21 PM
Putting something in place that a) shouldn't have needed to exist in the first place and b) should have been there to begin with, given the server issues in OB and HS isn't "Trion doing a good thing"

I'm just saying.

Someday I will have time to lay about and wait for the queue to tick down for me to get in, but in the meantime I'm stuck being FURIOUS.

Guy stopped and chatted me up today (same faction) named Granto.

Stated he played, and had war, with KGB in ShadowBane and was thinking of all the good times. Was glad the KGB moniker was still in use and was quite nostalgic.

He stated if anyone remembers him from those ShadowBane days to whisper him sometime to discuss and talk.

Granto from (something) of MoonForest (didn't catch it before he flew away)

Also someone from the guild EE (Eternal something I think, will try to find out) Tela, asked if I could ask KGB to engage in a 'soft' alliance. I have him on friends list and he ended up killing me but being nice about it (lol).

If any officer wants details to discuss on these 2 let me know.

Another gamer hit me up today asking if Jetstar was playing as well if they had to go to the guild website for application.

After inquiring some more I find this person was ex-KGB under the names Booth, Francine and/or JueryCat or something of that nature. They stated they were with KGB during UO days and that last spoke to Jet in Darkfall when Darkhand of the Covenant and KGB were in "appletown".

I didn't remember this person but they sure knew a lot about KGB so I asked that they come to the site and fill out a returning Vet Application. They seemed nice and pleasant and stated they would go and fill out an app as soon as they could.

I'm not sure if a male of female (seemed female at the time) so maybe this rings some bells. If he/she/it does put a request in but doesn't mention talking to me; I wanted to put it here so it's documented.

Cheers,
