Open beta starts this Thursday followed by head start on the 12th and release on the 16th. Who's planning on playing? It would be nice to start planning land grab, crafting, etc.

We have a few going into the game so far. No decisions on race or servers as of yet.

We mostly played nuian as for server not sure.

Hnnnnnnngh. So happy for the announcement. But I have 2 sadness inducing issues:

1) Nuian/Elf alliance? =( I love the vibe of the Firran and Harani. Ah well.

2) Headstart, marketplace, and player housing - the various downsides to being a free player. I've a birthday coming up on the 23rd but no income to get myself a pack as such. Sad days. side note - silver doesn't even appear to be worth its value compared to gold?

I will be playing to a degree.

If someone wants to step up and lead and declare Firran Harani go ahead. But most of us from alpha only leveled through Nuian and know that story line and their ships are much better. One of the best xp gains is on the Nubian side with star shards. I'll play to some degree but I don't think with all the recent changes we will have enough people to compete in the city wars.

Yeah I started an Elf but got bored. That firran fall damage reduction is nice. Can't speak to the storyline on the Nuian/Elven side (and Firran I only got to 20, busy weekend)

Are the ships actually different for the two factions?

Everything is different between the two, castles, gliders, buildings, racials, ships, etc. I had 2 lvl 50 Nuian and elf in alpha.

You can buy any ships, not side dependent.

Nope still can buy whatever you like.

You may have a froggie joining you. I got a founder pack but did not play a lot during alpha so I'm mainly a newb as to leveling and all the shit required. Being solo was not really fun.

But if I can join you to raze some cities and kick asses, I'll be happy to do so.

I'm staying posted here in case we do decide to make a guild and therefore be a closed faction. Otherwise I ran into some very nice folks who helped me get established on my Firran during CBE4

You might need to get Romeo's or Donk's interest in the game still at this point. I like the game but i'd rather wait and run SC and part time SOTA then Archeage. This is a massive game requiring some commitment for anyone willing to step up since it has large alliance size battles.

Correct. There will be a full wipe before head start. However, closed beta progress will carry over to open beta.

Ok, I will get us an answer this week on who is going to run this train. Purple Dragons and other historic KGB allies are already asking who is leading and what side are we playing.

With the release date coming up next week on Friday, we need to put a plan in place. We owe that much to the Clan and our historic allies.

Besides, as a means of incentive. A lot of our old enemies will be playing this title and we know that in general its a kick ass time in the first couple of months before people start to drop out and numbers begin to dwindle on servers.

I have the Alpha Founders subscription, and have been playing pretty regular, and have really enjoyed the game so far.

I am looking forward to the head start launch, and helping out the KGB faction however I can.

Count me in on getting into more KGB style trouble.

Damn. I Have a founders but I have work and clinicals all the way to release day. Kinda mad.
