" With great skepticism we once again approach the release
of another MMO with a slim potential of holding our interests
beyond a month. Darkfall shows much promise of being a tough
FFA environment that, if it lives up to the developers claims,
could provide long lasting enjoyment to the hardcore PvP
community. With the failures of so many such games with the
same potential I believe everyone is extremely skeptical that there
will ever be such a game, but all we can do is continue to hope
and plan for that glorious day. "

Unfortunately, the industry caters to the casual player
now as it tends to make them more money. In my opinion,
and it is just that, you can't have it both ways.

You can go after one group or the other. Trying to make
a game that both will enjoy will only destroy it. IF
Darkfall doesn't give in and try to pull in some of the
casual crowd, it may survive.

Assuming no issues with patching, bugs, fixes, etc.

While I will not be playing it with you all this time,
( my thoughts are not nearly as optimistic as others )
I will be watching it with great interest to see if it
becomes a groundbreaking trendsetter, or if it follows
in the footsteps of its predecessors.
