Back in the day running resoltion at 800x600 made some of my single player games work like champs but going to the 1200 made them lag.

Could this setting also help in the seiges as i still dop to flip book speed if they get to big and I have everthing "pretty" off at this point anyway?

If your bottleneck is your video card, it will help. If your bottleneck is cpu, not so much.
