Can you take over old accounts? I thought df2 was new accounts?

all word has been that preveous buyers of df1 get df2 free for just resubbing i expect they will use the account system in place to do that since the former game has been killed to make room for this one

I'm thinking of a return but with the work flow right now will have to wait and see how it goes before I can say for sure.
