Hey KGB,

I remember the good old days of Planetside before core combat came out. I wasn't a part of KGB at that time but I'm looking forward to it this time around. So while we wait for this bad ass looking version of Planetside to come out I wanted to know what your favorite certification/job etc was. I tried all the certs but in the end my favorite was a sniper role. I would drive an AMS or fly ( was terrible at air combat) to a good location and cause some issues. Its too bad it wasn't always one shot one kill like the sniper motto is. To overcome this I would team with another sniper to coordinate shots. It was a blast! Anyways let me know what you guys played!

100% Air Combat.

Fly by ass raping. I played with BWC on the Emerald server. You had to have at least one toon with a full Combat/Aero cert. We use to pick up tanks and go on bombing missions for lulz.
Armored fist...Tanks, and Mechanized Infantry, Antiscrub Max 100% Lord of War, I supported with the Deliverer, people mover on the side.
I like killing... Shhoing people in the face is fun lol I never played PS so i dont really know what i like but once i get playing ill figure it out
Tank driver here, It was my first online game.
If you had a good pilot/ driver it made all the difference for sure. Especially on sniper tanks heh
I used to drive and shoot in Tanarus.
NC Heavy Tanks are going to be very important.
A US Army Armored configuration would be nice, having Bradly Fighting vehicles providing scout and troop carry missions ahead of the MBT lines.

That is going to be me for sure.

The other thing that sounds cool is a covert strike team. Sabotage and dicking peeps is awesome.
So.. Sell me on PS2..

I mean, I've seem much here, haven't done much outside of KGB posts on PS2 (though working on something atm related wink but I'm not sure if this would be cup of tea.

I believe I lack the twitch needed for something of this nature, being FPS and all, and while I do OK on PC FPS the console realm is dominated by people like my oldest boy (age 13, xbox)

How would an Icky, knowing what you may know of me, fit into this realm and platoon of KGB? I'm not saying I will or won't as now I've re-subbed myself and boy to EQ2 and have the SOE Games pass that gives me monthly to everything they own which includes PS1 now and PS2 in the future.

I want to get into this.. I'm just not sure if it's a fit for me.. Agree, disagree?

This is Battlefield 3, with more character growth options and gear options to custom tailor how you wish to wage war, it's not map based or round based it's persistant war 24/7 on a world with several continents, multiple bases, bunkers and towers covering many kilometers. I direct you to this thread, please read or listen to what you can, the size and distances make Darkfalls map look like candyland

There are many support roles to fill, you could be a stealther, operate different weapon platforms, tanks, fighters, think global warfare, combined arms. Many things need to happen to be successful, but I believe we can accomplish what we need on the small scale until we can recruit the people we need to have to break out and conduct large scale operations. Small spec-ops groups will be our primary focus in the beginning, Tank battalions, with moderate air cover will come later.

what kind of player is Itchy? You like to play support roles or be in the shit?
Icky makes a mean cup of coffee and looks awfully pretty in that apron...

Damn fucking straight! Now was that one lump or two? smile
Here the other thing. Offline Skilling means you can be working on loadouts while you are not actively playing. You have the 2 mins to login, change a skill, and log out. While you cannot be everything at once, you can have every skill learned, and then change your loadout as you see fit when you do play. There are no limitations other then the boundires of the skills, which faction you choose, and how you decide to customize each of your loadouts in Planetside2.

Higby has already stated that a "Map" [insert Continent] will be roughly 8 Kilometers square. There will probably be 7 or 8 Continents, plus the space in between them and the entire Z Axis. Underwater battling in the oceans is still in the unknown category. The planet we are fighting over is a constant open world, where territory and resources from controlling those territories, are part of the main prize.

There is as well talk right now of a "Alien Invasion" AI as part of the storyline major event. The most important thing to know is that this is a PvP FPS with a persistent MMO world. It is a three faction fight, and a PvP intensive shoot them up, crafting is done out of a minimal requirement.
All this planetside deuce talk makes me want to snipe some scum like the guy In this video. We need a recon team with an anti air guy couple snipers and a cloaker. Anyways check this shit out. http://www.military.com/video/specialtie...t/665219835001/
Play to crush!!
