40gb ultra DMA harddrive.
10/100mbps ethernet card

also has a 48x cd-rw , stupid 56k modem. and 256 mb ram( i know i would have to up that)

the big thing is the vid card, its intagraded i belive last time i opened it. Is there any way to side step that to toss ina better one, if that one is not any good?

I dono what else it has in it, i have to get windows and format it and renstall all the drives if i can get them off the net,( didnt get any thing but the comp, no cds for anything) so if its not worth keepin and spendin the 80$ and ram and everything then i dont wanna do it. Tnx for da help

they are ok for browsing but crappy for games
you will have to find a pci card

I definitely wouldn't let it take over as a main computer but I'd keep it around for running a TS, browsing the internet, and downloading stuff.

aight whats a pci card anyways haha.. and i supose ya cant up grade it if its got intragrated parts without buyin a new motherboard

What're you using for a main comp atm lol? Generally those store bought pieces of crap aren't very easy to upgrade.. wires everywhere and not very many open slots for upgrades.

i got a dell 8200 pent 4 ,geforce 4 some other junk, plays any game out there so far, and a laptop that is just under what that is.

the other one seems more open then mine, it still has 4 diff slots down on the bottem free, i dono what i ca put in there but ya ahah. i know there is room to get a lot of ram in it, but if its not worth it i might just set it up for my dad to try and learn how to use comps lol.

The bottom slots are probably agp slots where you can put a video card, sound card, 56k modem, etc. I'd be surprised if it had more than 2 slots for ram.

Garal means they are pci slots!
my dell had like 3 or 4 slots i think that is pretty much average.

though an Emachine is a bit different so i'd assume there will probably be 2 or 3 lol
Posted By: Garal Re: Comp Question - 12/28/05 05:10 PM
They could be AGP slots :P
Posted By: Elph Re: Comp Question - 12/30/05 10:22 PM
lol the agp slots wouldnt be in that part though although on my pc the agp slot isn't too far from the pci lol it's like the topmost one
