A tip for growing fast at the moment is to get a market with one merchant. Every time you are at like 10 lumber but 300 clay, find a buy order to trade those, it helps a bunch.

... I was just playing and got kicked out, when I tried to log in it said name does not exist... is the server down, or did I somehow get owned by the server?
yeah I tried shortly after making the post and the game returned.
Same thing happened to me so I jumped in the Travian chat and apparently it was happening to everyone. Guess the server was just hiccuping. Seems fine now though.
