Not sure how many KGBers will remember me from UO but I would like to try and come back and play Darkfall (sounds similiar to UO). Kids are getting older and I have a little more time for late night games. It there a particular server I should choose and any advice for setting up a charcter would be greatly appreciated.

LOL, I tried logging on today at lunch and ran around but could find nothing to fight so I am not sure how to get my stats up . How far in the forest do you need to go? Seems strange because normally there are newbie areas for gaining exp and small amounts of gold.

I like pvp (a lot). I am excited to play a new game, getting tired of strategy games and first person shooters. I did get my name on my character: Human / Thorn Wolfbane.

If you are tired of FPS and do not have the interest in a major grind then DF is going to be a waste of your money.

On the other hand what race did you roll and have you talked to the quest givers in your starting area? They will highlight your map to give you directions of the first goblin spawns.

Do all of the quests in the starting area and it will set you up with beginner tools and everything you will need to start.

Do not walk too far out of the are or you lose your newbie protection bonus.

Like UO...Bank early and bank often.

Alright so there must be an easier way for the following (cause this is just painful ).

1) Is there a faster way to loot then dragging and dropping in backpack?
2) Is there a faster way for arming weapons / pickaxe or woodaxe?
3) Better way of raising stats other then chopping wood / mining?

I know I am in my newbie stage so everything is hard! Is there a good game site that explains how to play the game or give hints?
