Wow. I'm actually really impressed with the graphics, from the rendering to the 3d shapes and shadows. I didn't expect anything near to that level, given the bad rap that DF has had over the past....20 years...
Yeah apparently the gfx are quite good, especially on good machines. Not AoC level... but like the DF devs say , AoC and DFO are totally different games regarding style, and freedom.
Having proper scaling, and keeping things performing well client-side for a wide range of machines is a DFO priority.. and given that, the level of GFX are good indeed.
