Hope to join you guys in "> 1 hr." This post may be recorded for quality assurance.

Last night it would decrease by 100 every 15 minutes or so. YMMV.

LOL. Now if I'm part of their marketing team, I would be complaining about how much potential revenue their wasting. A queue from 0-3 hrs, is more riskier then more servers and the potential need to server merge.

Ways to beat the Queue or Que or cue however you prefer to say it.

Here are the ways I have been getting around the queue.
Before I leave my office, I will use Google Chrome Remote Desktop
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detai...henigjmpp?hl=en

I will log into my home computer and start up the client and log into Ollo. There will be a que and based on how long it looks i may just leave it running waiting till i get home and when i get home it will be ready for me to pick my character and play.

I just tried this, I started the game on my work computer waited till it was done with the Cue and selected my character. Harvested a few trees and exited the game. Then I remoted into my home computer and started it up and it went right in no queue.

Just make sure you dont have both clients up at the same time it really really does not like that.

Now another thing we have found out if you leave your character selection screen it does not kick you. So far farthest we have tested this is 6 hours.

Darn you Q

Trion is going to get ass raped over the next three days. Apparently some well known individuals are going to bring down the service in order to clear the Queues manually...

Just say'n.

Don't mess with crusty gamers and get in between our pew pew time with your bullshit business practices and total lack of customer response.

Scopes (AA-CM) won't be living this down for some time. That guy is going to continue to get flamed wherever else he lands in the next couple of months after the AA team blames him for the paying base exodus.

Glad cause the current system favors F2P people. Just macro in game or sit at character screen, since you don't gain labor offline. Same for patron's too their is no benefit to log off and as such queues stack up.

I haven't been able to play jack because of this queue bullshit and my work schedule.

Has anyone tried staying in the character selection screen for more than 6hrs without getting kicked out?
Posted By: rhaikh Re: Queue Simulator 2014 - 09/19/14 02:32 PM
yes, I went to the character select screen last night and I'm still there this morning.

They are going to fix that upcoming.. Not sure when but it leaked out people where using that to remain logged in while not actively playing and they stated they were going to fix that.

Use while you can I guess but changing soon.

1 hour to get through 400 people in the queue this morning. Started at 7:30am PST. It's now 8:23am PST, 600 more to go. That's a 2 hour queue. When i get home from work, there's going to be a 5-6 hour queue.

I was hoping to login before work to harvest and logout... You know, actually vacate my spot in the game, so that someone else could login, say ... another guild member, maybe...

If we've got a 'few' people sitting in the character selection screen overnight and holding spots online, effectively ahead of the queue, i can only imagine how many others are. To all of you - thanks a bunch!.

Now smarten up and logout so others can get online to play the game we're all trying to enjoy. Holding your spot 24/7 is selfish and totally lame. Yeah I know, we're on the internet. I know that if you don't someone else probably will. Doesn't change what it is.

And before you go there - No, blaming Trion for their lack of resolution of server capacity issues is not a valid reason to exacerbate the problem by holding your spot in the game 24/7.

I waited in queue about 8 hours, twice. The first time I set myself up to queue overnight and when I woke up the game had crashed and there was my browser pointed at the support page. The second time I queued all day when I could have been leveling, to finally log in just in time for dinner. I managed to get a few hours in but I think I earned my spot. If the queue was under 30 minutes I would say you're right, but at these lengths I think we should be playing the game like everybody else and trying to secure as many spots for the clan as possible.

Confirmation that Trion has started manually clearing the Character Select screen AFK'rs because of the queue issue and the unintended effect of those individuals being able to regenerate Labor Points while holding paying customers hostage to log into the game.

What basically broke Trion was that F2P accounts were now able to do the same thing and were pushing Patrons into the queue in large numbers. When the competitive end of your title is about labor pools, crafting, mats and gear and those things are all tied to one game mechanic (LABOR) you had better get your house in order ASAP.

1...2...3 until people adapt and start doing the same with some rudimentary macro.

The key problem is tying labor to online time. Simply shrink F2P player max labor pool (to half a day worth of regenerating) and let everyone accumulate it offline.

Simple common sense fixes, need not apply at Trion.

very true, Tasorin!

Holy fuckhole, I downloaded a game I haven't been able to play for a week now.
Posted By: Hobbitlauncher Re: Queue Simulator 2014 - 09/21/14 02:16 AM
haven't even gotten to make my character yet.

27,500 across all queues as of 9PM CST Saturday 09/20/2014

Glad to see those two servers helped so much...

BTW: What is this "XXX race restricted" tag? Because it is looking like I might not even be able to roll a character on Ollo?
Posted By: rhaikh Re: Queue Simulator 2014 - 09/21/14 02:46 AM
That is indeed what that means. Character transfers will come eventually but they may not be free.

That is correct. Welcome to the club :/

I can't decide if I want to call Trion and demand a refund (or just dispute the charge with my CC) or roll a toon on another server and hope for xfers.
Posted By: Vuldan Re: Queue Simulator 2014 - 09/21/14 09:58 PM
I would suggest if you think you might demand money back you don't play at all or they will have an argument, which of course they do in terms of having given you new servers to play on. You can counter as they have blocked choice.

If you are going to play though, I know we have some members already on the new servers leveling up in hopes of transfers, I would join them.

Does anyone know what the "overflow" server others are using?
Posted By: Hobbitlauncher Re: Queue Simulator 2014 - 09/22/14 01:01 PM
I managed to make a character on Naima (Nuian) on Sunday, but I then had to contend with a dozen or so "gods have disconnected you" within about half an hour, and I gave up.

I'll be able to play... eventually
