I have been doing some research and made a couple of phone calls to a couple of legacy people I know playing and came up with this short list based on the current build game mechanics.

In a 5vX PvP kind of roaming world it's all about class stacking and spec groups beyond solid situational awareness and focused shit stomping by everyone (combos and more combos)

Here is the short list that was advised to me (no Order):

1) Darkrunner
2) Primeval
3) Spellsinger or Reaper
4) Skullknight or Abolisher or Paladin
5) Templar or Edgewalker

Builds (Max Level) All builds were verified for 1.2 build and I asked around for a consensus before I posted these links. One major thing to consider is that you will have to gear up to really maximize these classes. AA is very very very gear dependent. Average cost is about 1000-1200 Gold to gear up at level 55. One of the big advantages as of right now is using Leather over Heavy armor where possible due to the DR it provides in two channels over the the DR of one channel for Heavy. Just remember these builds are based on 1.2 and maximizing individual skills and stacking combo's based on group synergy.

Abolisher
SkullKnight
Paladin
DarkRunner
Primeevil
SpellSlinger
Reaper
War Cleric - Templar

Move this thread to AA Secure.

Please fix my Oracle permissions. I am locked out of posting to several Secure sub forums.

Thx.

Anyone have any experience with spellsinger(slinger?) I was a sorrowsong but felt subpar, rerolled into Lamentor and loved it. Currently torn on Lamentor and Daggerspell, but I keep hearing/seeing mention of the Spellsinger. How does it play, what are the strengths and weaknesses to it?

Edgewalkers are not viable anymore.

with the 1.2 patch they made spirit heal int damage so you cant run a staff and heal or run a club and deal damage.

I've been playing around with a trickster build that has 21 combos. Anyone have experience with this?

I also use this calculator which is pretty nice and gives better combat information.

Strike that...24 combos. That link also gives you a nice little cheat sheet to practice the various combos and a good idea of what your build will be good at. For instance...on a scale of 1-12 my build is a 10 at physical attacks and weakening the opponent and about a 5/6 on everything else.

Highly recommend it.

Any thoughts on this modified build?

I tried this one and Templar and Cleric. I couldn't heal for crap in nub plate. They were pretty durable though.
Under defense the Boastful Roar was ridiculous chain damage did a 2600 damage in my teens. I did less damage when I took defense off for cleric but seemed tankier.
The last build I did was a demonologist to try out some dps. The bubble you get from witchcraft was op against mobs.

I only played up to high teens and low 20s over open beta, maybe someone else has more experience to share.
