Where do you all get your sigs? Do you make them yourself (photoshop?)? Do we have a guild sig maker?

There is a sig making service that is free, ask Owain about it.

no but I have a post going in the Great Hall asking who makes sigs. Many have replied about it.

Check it out The KGB Great Hall Signature post.

Just ask Shade in vent. He'll hook you up with a great sig.

I made mine using GIMP on Windows, from images and fonts found on google. The beer and taco images had white backgrounds, but I had a hard time separating the backgrounds from the white reflections especially on the beer, so my skills failed me at making it any other color. I would have made it the same color as the forumfall background if I could.

I make my own (photoshop). Haven't made one in awhile. I need a new one.

Save the image with transparency, or change around the file extension so that you're not asked this prompt when creating it with gimp.

.gif works (but it'll ask if you want to grayscale it)

When it's transparent it'll automatically take up the color of whatever background is behind it (because it's transparent).

You'll have to re-add your font and do a different color shadow drop for this, otherwise you'd have floating white in the background for the shadow.

If you tell me where you found your fonts, I could do this for you. Although it's kind of an easy thing to do.

The problem was mostly with the beer image. There are many reflections inside of it that are totally white or almost totally white. Then you have the edges which gradually go white..

Filling in the background at that point with a different color makes it look horrible as in your posted example :P jaggies around the egdes of everything.

I'm sure it's possible to make it look great if you know what you're doing and you spend a lot of time on it.. but since I am unable and unwilling to do that myself I'm settling for white :P
