If that's real, whatever the conditions I hope we disband CC. It's time to be able to kick some BKB, eXile, VG and lot of other CC members.

VG have some wankers but aren't so bad? I would like to hang out with Covenant but it'll have to be a long distance relationship lol. Most of the remaining Hyperion are joining Death or going to Yssam hehe.

Unless that was serious.

that makes for a very very difficult political move for CotC... All Hyperion has done is allied up with the lesser of two evils and if CotC goes to finish their campaign against Hyperion they will cry to big brother (Death) and another zerg war will immerse!

Count my words, Death is the dangerous alliance right now and they have tasted the blood of CotC and want more.
Posted By: Lock Re: Hyperion down - 05/13/09 12:36 AM
Death is just bowing out from chewing the last of them out, and tactically it's probably a smart move for them. The more cities the COTC takes the more spread out we get, our allies get.

There will be a weaker response in each city because of this. Death is not allied to them.

yah I got caught up on at least what seems to be some what fact on the forumfalls... although I think I'll wait until more official response from guild/alliance leaders.

If Death has just stopped attacking hyperion that doesn't mean CotC has agreed to the surrender and may continue with it's original battle plan on long march, etc.

CotC has a lot of good clans in it that want and deserve a city/hamlet so I'm sure there will be a few more attacks on Hyperion lands in order to complete the agreements set by the alliance leaders???

Will be interesting to see how this all turns out...
I for one am looking forward to smaller wars and less lag!

This game will be just like EVE. It will always have big alliances, which you can't stay out of, else be kicked out of your city/hamlet. It's pretty obvious if you've ever played games like this one. It was/is the same in SB and EVE.

If CC breaks up, we will lose our city. Eventually it will happen.

If CC breaks up, Death will probably eat us pretty quickly.

I think what "could" happen is cotc breaks up and such to save face... let someone else (death) attack a top member of the cotc alliance (AC, TC, VG, KGB, etc etc). It will give everyone a reason to band back together again to defend/strike back, etc.

Honestly i'm sure it's just a matter of time before death or cairn start pressing cotc with some agression.

If I were death or cairn, I would talk to the other guy about sandwiching CC.

I'm always up for a good sandwich.

Just so you guys know we have IRC chat with these groups constantly. Communication is very direct so some of the wild speculation listed here never comes to fruition since things are talked about regularly.

Usually plans aren't discussed completely in the open because elements of plans that are - seem to be quickly leaked and confidential tactical information could be at risk.

Let me say this - we are not done fighting Hyperion. Forum posts are forum posts and if this game was dictated by them Hyperion would have won the game years before it ever started. What we have seen is the opposite - all of the hype generated on the forum quickly dissipates when it gets to the live game and it becomes a free for all.

One comment I saw that I liked was that - we were going to wait and see what really transpired with Hyp and Death instead of what was posted by a single poster on the forums.

If thats not clear let me make it clearer - don't believe everything you read and don't instantly change your game plan when you read a forum post.

Our fight is against Hyperion until they are defeated or WE agree to a peace treaty.

of course thats all we have is speculation... and I'll be damned if you take that away from me!!! wink It's my only source of fun without knowing whats 'really going on'.

We won't change our playstyles either... we attack who you tell us to. smile

I also speculate that Hare will give birth to 3 chocolate bunnies and Dunlop is really a tranny!!!

OMG!!! I totally thought Dunlop was a tranny too.

Just remember that we have proven ourselves very capable of going on the offensive.

So if some other alliance gets jumpy and makes one mistake of coming at us....they better pick multiple targets or they will get counterattacked so horribly they will cry.

@Hare

Really the only thing to take away from the forums is the things that Nox posts and a few others from Hyperion that point out their flaws as an alliance and as a guild.

Mistakes are stacking up in this game and there are many reasons why people become so hurt over the internal struggle between the leaders, officers, and then the lower ranks within Wessex proper.

The forums are always a rumor mill and should be taken with a grain of salt. I think that's why so many people avoid them entirely, because they mostly contain idiotic dribble that has no impact on the game itself other than recruitment, propaganda and an increase in one's e-peen. Often its what people want them to see and what isn't actually happening.
