Server optimizations first and adding new servers in time are the steps we are taking to improve this experience.
From our launch experience, the extreme demand caused the account management infrastructure to lag and often time out. The hammering of the system by the users made things worse. Repeated attempts by users led to charge failures because of bank security rules. Incorrect billing information also led to failed transactions.
We expect the account management system to face extreme demand today as well. In order to try to avoid the issues we describe above, users who refresh before timing out, open multiple windows or tabs, and hammer the system will be temporarily blocked. Please do not refresh unless you have timed out or you will lose your place in the queue.
We'll post when sales open. If the copies we have available for today sell out, we will repeat this process again tomorrow.

No, I got into the billing/account info screen (the main login) right after Tasos' latest message, but when I clicked the new products link I timed out. That's the link though.

We’ve been letting people buy the game in groups every day. This is done mainly so that we don’t have too many people trying to enter the game at the same time thus creating very long queue times. Our capacity is limited, and we’re working to increase it. Starting next week, the groups being allowed in the game will be larger. We’re also working on getting new servers up. We’re basically doing all we can to improve this situation as quickly as possible.
This was not helped at all by the account management system which hasn’t lived up to anyone’s expectations. This is not software that we’ve created, and since day 1 of its operation we’ve been working to get it replaced with something better.
It also needs to be said that we read all your support requests and we’re prioritizing and working on everything you’re reporting to us.
The sales will open up again around 7pm GMT until sold out, same will happen tomorrow Friday. There will be no sales over the weekend but they will resume on Monday around the same time.

I shouldn't buy their game, etc." ... and then I was able to buy it and fell in love with Aventurine all over again. Another thing to think about. Is that when the game is on sale/shop open. It is the evening hours there. Unfortunately for us Americans.. it is mid day when most are at work or school. So technically they are not opening the shop when everyone is at work.
I understand that you are frustrated and want to buy their product so that you may play and have fun. The demand for accounts will go down soon enough and they said when that happens they will open the shop up for longer periods if not 24/7.

I tried it at 11:07 central and it was really slow. I had to try 3 times to get the order through successfully.
from the accounts homepage, I clicked on "products" tab and ordered the game (since my credit card was already loaded, all it asked me for was the 3 digit ccv code on the back). order was successful at 11:22am cst
Hope this helps those have an idea of what to go through. BTW, after order is successfull you get sent to the torrent you have to download. Can't you just download that while you wait for the order to go through? Cuz that's another 2 day wait for me now.

I'm actually pissed off now. I called my mom last night and asked her to attempt to buy the game for me this morning; I was in meetings all day. She got further in the purchasing process than I've gotten. In fact, she got to a screen that asked for the three digit code on the back of my credit card. Unfortunately, I did not know that information would be requested and thus did not give it to her. I got an email from Aventurine telling me my transaction failed (at least I got something).
"OK, that's fine," I told myself, "I'll just try tomorrow or Friday." WRONG. They're not selling any copies tomorrow and possibly not selling any on Friday. This actually pisses me off. I was really looking forward to playing and figured I'd definitely be able to get a copy this week. I'm seriously pondering giving it at this point. It's too much of a god damn let down.

My wife succeeded for me on Weds while I was at work. Already in game, and less than 2 min from KGB city to hopefully get a bind (it was a long run...quite the adventure between alfar patrols, centaurs, and a weird flying saucer I ran into enroute - I wrote the coords down on that one).
Well, I have the game all downloaded to my system, just a matter of getting an account now
I'm with you Tonto. I have the game downloaded, but no account. I guess we just have to be patient and hope they sell more copies soon. If I don't get it tomorrow, I'll have a whole weekend to blow on coke and prostitutes, so it's a win/win situation.
