I have read through the posts in the Information Dump the you beta guys created but I was wondering if a few of you could break down the differences in the weapons? Is there any difference? I have seen this question asked a few times on the main DFO forum but people avoid this like the plague.

I don't know them all but I used board and 1h sword for all of beta and I'll say the dmg output for a 1h sword is rather low. The newbie 1h sword sucks! Later on there are other swords that will up the dmg but it seems that 2h weapons and polearms/pikes do most dmg per swing but take more stam. to do so.
