Reading on a few sites that Tasos said beta invites would be made starting 11/10 but I can't find that *outside* those sites. Anyone else see such?

Way at the bottom he mentions it. But he doesn't actually say what sorts are being let into it, he doesn't say its a clan beta, or if it's early phase 2 in house or what.

Anyone get one?

Derid had an original list of people (myself included on the list...twice!) that was submitted for guild beta like 2 years ago...wonder what happened to that as well?

The list is still up (in a different thread) and updated. However, since switching to a console type beta, we do not believe that they will actually DO the clan beta they had originally planned.

im betting that the people with beta invites are family,friends,and other people the devs closely trust and guessing that fans like you and i have yet to get into beta

I am hoping they open it up eventually. I know it is unfair to ask to try a game before you drop $50 to get it but it is always nice to have that opportunity

I do not see this coming out by it's December release date but who knows - maybe these folks are just thinking outside the box and don't care about reserves and are confident that the game will sell itself?

I think they will delay the release and do an open beta eventually.

I'd be kinda concerned if they didn't do at least a stress test at some point. To me it would seem like they're hiding something and maybe just hoping to make some money on the initial launch before people find out the game is terrible or something.

That was AoC/Funcoms plan, and they supposedly did a stress test..so I dont think thats it.

Besides, Tasos has said everyone will be able to play the game before paying... indicating free trial period... unless that changes, there is no conspiracy.

Tasos has said beta invites have went out. More than one batch. Of course everyone assumes he means to people on the beta signup list.

IMO it would be pretty raunchy to let everyone believe he means the beta sign up list when really he means some in house people and their friends/family. That is basically a lie to the community. If that's what you intended then you don't need a beta sign up on your site.

I'm going back to my original thinking: it's vapor until I see it with my own eyes...or at least some people I trust have (people here, other sites, friends, etc).
