For the Authoritarians around here to look at, and go "well of course the govt should know what you read, and you should have to get permission to travel..."

They record what you read and personal affects internationally... now want to do it domestically.

Of course most americans are so de-sensitized already, I dont doubt a skinny geeky student could be carried off, pinned then tasered for daring to ask insensititive questions of a poltical figure and not stop speaking when asked at a university open forum. And most people wouldnt care, in fact the bystanders would just look on passivly.

dam that is crazy that they keep a profile on you while they are going through your luggage !!!
Posted By: Helemoto Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 12:50 AM
First off that guy that got tasered, that to me was on the border of should I taser him or shouldn't I. Personally I would have zapped him 2-3 times but that is also why I am not a cop. He should have asked his ? and shut the fuck up like everyone else, he shouldnt have rambled on like a drunk GW. He was there to start problems not ask questions.

As for the article ya that is fucked up. Think the next time I fly some pron mags and a wet 12 inch double dong will be waiting for the guys looking through my stuff.
Posted By: Derid Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 01:40 AM

Whether you like the guy or agree with him, I still think its a sad day when a non-threatening person can be pinned and tazered for wielding only a book and words. Tazering is extremely unhealthy for the victim.

I could have understood it, maybe if it was Hulk Hogan and he had started throwing punches, but this kid was just loud.

From the reaction you would have thought he was weilding a deadly weapon, not a book. I found it downright opressive. Another thing to keep in mind, was the location. It was a University campus. If you cant speak your mind to a politician on your own campus at a public forum without fear of bodily harm from the authorities then when and where can you do so?
Posted By: Helemoto Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 02:13 AM
It doesnt matter what location your at. If you are making a public nuisance and are asked to leave and you dont you will be removed. If you put up a fight they have the right to subdue you and remove you.
You can see in the video they ask several times for him to step down. When he didnt they tried to lead him out. At one point the big black dude picked him up to carry him out. Then he put up more of a fight and ended up on the ground. Then he would not listen to the order from the police. Then he was tasered.

As for tasers being unhealthy I would pick it over a billy club to the head.

This was like a episode of Cops without the nudity.

I have a bother in-law that was a cop for 30 years and he loved tasers when they came out. It helped take down dumbasses with out having to beat them into submision.
Posted By: Derid Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 02:18 AM

He was pinned to the ground when he was tazered. the video I saw didnt show a struggle, it showed a skinny guy on his tiptoes being led.

The guy was completely under control, he wasnt tazered to physically subdue him he was tazered to shut him up.
Posted By: Helemoto Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 02:30 AM
Watch closer They were trying to cuff him and he keep struggling.

I wonder if I can get him screaming like a bitch as a ring tone.
Posted By: Helemoto Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 02:32 AM
Btw I have been tasered before and I deserved every volt.
Posted By: Helemoto Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 02:47 AM
And it was a closed townhall you had to have a pass to get in. As it turned out he didnt have one.
They did let him talk in the first place so they didnt know he wasnt suppose to be there.

AND HE WASNT ASKING A QUESTION HE WAS PROTESTING. HE DIDNT EVEN LET THE GUY ANSWER. HE KEEP ON RUNNING HIS MOUTH.

He did this on purpose to get kicked out. I just think he didnt expect to get tasered.

Its not about freedom of speech. He was allowed to talk, he just didnt ask a question and await an answer.

HE DID IT ON PURPOSE.

Now this is police brutality

You need to remember:

The Taser was designed to be an alternative for police instead
of their firearm. Ergo, a last resort before killing you.

It is NOT supposed to be the equivalent of a human cattle
prod. It is NOT supposed to be a compliance device.

A thought went through my head earlier in that what would
happen if you hit a police officer with a taser ? Or even
threatened them with one. . .

Time after time Taser use is justified because it's a non
lethal device. So, with that in mind could the officer
justify killing you ( with a firearm ) if they know the
device you wield isn't deadly ? Would be difficult to
justify the use of deadly force against you when you aren't
wielding a device capable of it. . . .

Don't get me wrong, most police have a sense of what's
right and what isn't. However, it's the cowboys of the
order that are staining their reputation as a whole.

In other news, wait till the handheld version of this
lovely little gem gets into the wrong hands:

Exactly Daye.

And watching it again, it looked to me like carrying him out
they just werent properly trained in doing it and were messing up. A guy his size couldnt be to hard to handle.

He was pinned to the ground by several large people when they actually tazered him.

I'd just like someone to explain why 2 of them why he even needed to arrested, and even moreso why 2 of them didnt just lead him out the door by the shoulders and deposit him on the sidewalk.

I've seen single and pairs of bouncers handle significantly larger and less tuly guys than him, and effortlessly hold their arms/shoulders and toss their asses out on the street.

Its beyond me why supposedly trained police officers have to resort to tazers to handle one heckler. (He may not technicaly fit that description, but close enough)
Posted By: Helemoto Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 12:27 PM
LOL They tried nicely to lead him out, he keep trying to get away from them. He is an idiot trying to make videos for the internet. It was all a set up. Like I said before I dont think he tought he was going to get tasered. And its not like he was some 5 foot 90 pound guy he was bigger then most of the cops.

Go watch some cops episodes and see what the police have to deal with. Being properly trained and getting some guy to lay still are 2 different things.

At first they were not going to arrest him. He keep doing his stupid stunt and keep resisiting them. You can hear him on the ground crying like a bitch saying ok i will leave and you can hear the cop saying its to late for that. And belive me when they have you on the ground its pretty much to late to talk you way out.

Before he was tasered they keep telling him to roll over and put you hands behind you. You can ever hear a girl in the crowd saying is he stupid they have a taser on his chest. He keep tring to fight them off. He keep flailing his hands around and they zapped him to get him to compliy. They even tried to carry him out if you think its proper or not who cares they were being nice to him the whole time till he forced them on the ground.

The use of tasers were meant to replace big bad guns for non lethal morons like this guy. Did you see them pull a gun. No they pulled a taser. Did they pull out the billyclubs no a taser. No blood no mess. And after it was all over he got up and walked out.

The cops were right in this and the idiot deserved to get what he got, more if it was me.

All police officers are tasered with the equipment they use so they know what the effect is.

It IS a compliance weapon. Get on the fucking ground or I will taser you. or Get on the fucking ground or I will shoot you in the face. Which one would you like to hear.
If you have a gun or knife in hand guess which one it will be.

And are you trying to say Here I am with a taser im my hand and a cop in front of me. The cop can shoot me. If I get him tasered before he tasers me I have him on the ground and can kill him with the knife in my pocket. Its all about what situation they are in.

Go talk to cops that have to deal with this shit every day. Then talk to me about some fuckup that got tasered.

You talk like tasers are a bad thing. Beat you head in or get tasered I will take tarer any day. I can get up and walk away from a taser.

The silly git was tased for resisting a police officer. I would have tased him, too.
Posted By: Jonus Re: Another thread.......... - 09/21/07 01:53 PM
I think all idiots should be tased.

The guy was getting to his question, the cops just weren't letting him finish. Kerry was asking the cops to just let the guy finish asking his question, I do believe it was going somewhere.

It seems that the people for or against this kid see two different viewpoints though. Those for him see a passive inquisitive student politely asking his beloved Senator a question. All of a sudden those Fascist, Conservative pigs we call cops charge at him with Cattle Prods, Tear Gas, Fire Hoses, and RPGs (yes, a box of D&D.)

Those against him see John Rambo cursing out that lame excuse for a 'Nam vet, then proceeding to take out 2 M-16s, gunning down 12 cops, then throwing a grenade into a crowd of innocent bystanders before finally being subdued by the heroic police officers and their trusty tasers.

You can find the specifics at http://www.alligator.org/articles/2007/09/21/special_reports/andrewmeyer.txt
since National News is probably just showing the worst parts of the video and victimizing the kid.

Apparently what happened was that Accent, the student government-run commission that oversees the sessions when speakers come address the school, told the cops to escort him out when he said Blowjob, the kid obviously resisted, and the cops eventually tased him.

Was he violent or did he merit the tase? I don't think so. The articles and editorials that have been defending the cops say things like "He violently refused to leave the auditorium." or "What if he would have had a gun? The cops would have avoided another VT, and you'd all be singing a different tune." But that's the whole point, he wasn't violent, he was just shrugging off the cops, snatching for his mic, and trying to stay in his place. And he didn't have a gun, so the cops' reactions weren't justified.

Could the kid have been a little bit more respectful in the way he addressed the senator, or gotten to the point quicker? Absolutely.

LOL

Hele don't go postal on me man

I've lived with police all my life. Father just retired
from policework after 38 years. My brother is a US Marshal.
Every friend of the family is law enforcement. From State Troopers
to FBI, a sheriff or two , Game Wardens to the friggin Secret Service.
I have nothing but respect for what they do and what they
deal with on a daily basis believe me.

My home was one of those that had a police scanner in
every room and they were running nearly 24/7.

The Taser was not designed to be a first choice compliance
device as it all too often becomes these days. In the
hands of a properly trained individual who is well suited
to wear the uniform, it is a very good tool for them to
have. If the individual is a threat to the officer, themselves
or another then yeah the Taser is likely a justifiable device.
It's not there to be a compliance tool when the
officer gets tired of hearing backtalk. It's not designed
to be the ' I win ' button of a confrontation.

Folks are getting hit with these things because they are
mostly compliant. They allow themselves to get into
position which allows the officer to use the device. We
keep seeing videos of officers abusing people with them
and I guarantee things will change. Folks will fear the
officer and, as we all know, fear can be dangerous. Folks
do some silly things when they're scared.

Folks are going to get tired of getting hit with these things.
God help the officer who runs across the first
one who thinks enough is enough. The problem is the
officer might even be right, but the other individual
has seen all the video and doesn't trust the person behind
that badge. When the public loses trust in police,
things will go to hell in a hand basket in a hurry.

However, we all know that the tool isn't the issue. It's
the wielder. In my personal opinion, police should be
screened far more than they are. They should be very
selective about who they let wear a badge. They're not
and as a result, this is part of that fallout.

Too many have ego issues. They let that badge and gun go
to their head. They believe themselves to be superior to
the normal citizen. It's an us vs them mentality. They
believe themselves to be above the laws they are sworn to
uphold. I know a few of these folks myself.

They are the minority without a doubt. However, they
are ruining the reputation of law enforcement as a whole
and, if left unchecked, may very well destroy it.
