So we can get some teamwork going in preparation for future games I am putting a call out for any Guild Wars owners to come play.
We have about 10 playing right now and I would really like to see some more people pop up so we can have steady guild vs guild fights and constant tournament battles.
Something to do to pass the time.
/salute
How about I find you a warrior character and you come give me some beautiful Mortal Strikes in the WoW arena?
?
Guild Wars...was tempted to buy the latest expansion...
I only have the original, but it's free and could be fun.
Bib....My legend in WoW is done and over. My MS'ing days are over.....but get your butt to GW so we can start doing GvG fights.
Crim...install the game and let me get you guilded. It's a solid game and slowly more and more people are coming outta the holes and from under rocks to play.
We need a little better base of people though so we can start doing the guild vs guild battles and maybe even enter a tournament if we get a solid grp going.
I currently play, I have all 3 stand alone games, plus the exspansion to the original game. I am already in a guild at the moment, and since there is no difference in any guild in guild wars I don't know if a switch to KGB will make the game any more enjoyable for me. Guild Wars PvP is the suck, there is nothing to show for PvP effort other then a ladder system, YIPPIE!
But if you need any help or have any questions both in game and out look me up
--------------------V
Just trying to think of a character combo to fit my personality. (Offensive melee)
could never get into guild wars
Crim, play warrior elementalist. mass dmg output and shock for interupts and knoickdowns.
i have any build for a warrior you can think of.
NEED BODIES ASAP PEOPLE!
AS you know i have already been playing. I want to run some missions though. So anyone up for those over the next few weeks let me know.
Donkey refresh your mining house or send me the info!

I forgot to mention: with the exception of Magery (elementalist is the mage)
Well knowing how much you like pole arms, if you had Guild Wars Nightfall you could play a Paragon they use spears chants, and shouts to motivate and inspire group members. That's the closest thing to a pole arm in GW.
Otherwise Warrior/Elementalist is probably a good fit for you, go Air for lightning which gives armor penetration values, Fire for max effect area and burning damage, or earth for wards and armor buffs.
Water is lame, unless you want to maximize your ability to out manenuver your foe using ice to slow or isolate people.
hey donkey do you need to have Factions to do the PVP that you all are doing?
Dude, I wouldn't use Elementalist with a melee type. I HATE TANK MAGERY!!!!
I would only use elementalist if it was mixed with something distance-related.
And throwing spears is a lot different than actually melee fighting with them, so I'd just make a different character type. Still can't believe there are no two handed swords?
What other class that isn't magery mixes well with a melee type?
Oh I was mistaken then I thought you were asking for Tank Magery details, nvm that crap then you'r like me strait up tools of war kind of guy.
As for two handed the only weapon at the moment is Hammer and Scythe, the hammers got great damage and knock down but you'll definately miss not having a shield, there are very few hammer users that I've seen in Alliance Battle for Factions, not sure the spread in stand alone pvp. You would definately stand out in a fight as a hammer user, that would be the shizzle. You would need max weapon mods, max hammer, max elite armor, with the right runes and insignias to be sure.
I personally think from what you've said so far might be a Warrior Ranger, a Warrior Paragon, or a Warrior Dervish
But you would need Guild Wars Nightfall for the last two
The Paragon has Command and Motivational abilities and spear use for range
The Dervish has Whirlwind style attacks and different Godly Avatar transformations while using a Scythe
Show up in game and Look me up Crim I'll walk you through and I can be any where you are I have all games, and can hand out some gear of which I have plenty, it isn't max gear but for a starter toon you won't need much, and it still is better then most new players have.
I have several Warrior Mules so I got everything from hammers to axes to swords to daggers if you are interested in Assassins let me know as well.
All in all you wont find any player in the game with at least some kind of spells or spell like skills. Even assassins teleport and have hexs
Warfare Prime is my main.
Quick note Warrior Assassins from Factions aren't too shabby either I've known a few and they can be hard to deal with since their armor rating is high. I faced two W/A's tonight in AB dropped one and had trouble with the 2nd as my skills were recharging, luckily a buddy picked him off as I bounced off and went ranged.
Cool deal. Always thought Nightfall looked interesting, but it may be a while until I get that, if ever. Trying to save cash, so I strategize when I pay bills, when I save, and when I spend.
Crim, without seeing how the game works I can't really explain it. Warrior elementalist isnt a nuker....it is all melee. you just take shock from elementalist.
This allows you to keep up your steady damage with your melee and then when you see a defensive spell being ceast or someone tries to run or if you catch a healer trying to heal someone else you run up and shock them.
Shock is a melee touch attack knockdown. Just get the damn game!
Seaelf, you dont have to have nightfall at all to play, but you will iss out on some good skills/classes.
I expect to see more of you coming to play as our base is growing decently.
Vipir i just got nighfall and eye of the north on my main account so we can do dungeoneering whenver you are on.
I have the damn game. =P
Couple questions:
1. How far would I have to level a Warrior or elementalist in PVE to unlock all the good PVP skills? I remember that you create a PVP character right away, but you need to unlock the higher level cool skills to use for combat. My Warrior/necro was like level 7 or 9 or something, and my elementalist/ranger (druid) was level 13/14 or something like that...
2. If our characters are in different guilds, can they still group and PVP together? I can't remember...(created my own guild for fun a long time ago and don't want to delete the cool banner =P )
Crim you unlock skills while pvping. elites and all so unless you really want to do some pve there is no reason to.
You dont have to be in the same guild to play with other people but it would be easier communication wise.
I'm working on recruiting people in game and working on rekindling some of our old alliances.
My goal is to get KGB back up on the pvp tournament circuit.
Cool on the skill thing.
Great about grouping despite guild. We can still communicate via VENT. Also, it's a guild I created, Ironrose (Emily) and I being the only members, so it wouldn't breach guild disclosure. I like the standard on the tabard a lot and it makes it more fun.
-Hey Drak, you going to be around tonight? I should be online between 5 and 8:30 PM tonight if you're around to hand me some goodies. Thanks, too. =)
Add Nathaniel Wolfe to friends.
Odd, I don't see the guild tabard on his back? If one character starts a guild, don't the others automatically join?
My times are late night mostly between 1130pm and 430am, but I might catch you on when I'm on my days off.
you can turn the cape on and off, look at your paper doll.
Dude, I'm never on past 9:30 - 10:30 on weeknights anymore. Get up at 5:30 in the morning cause I have a 50 minute drive to work.
DUDE!
I'll catch you on before your bed time, sooner or later.
u guys make new guild or same one?
ok...PVP characters have potential to be as statistically powerful as PVE characters that have unlocked extra skill points for allocation, etc? This is via runes?
At the PVP vendor guy, I couldn't find any STAT runes. There was a huge variety on a rune vendor of things from players, but it cost gold and PVP characters can't get gold, can they?
I've noticed that PVE characters maxed had like 14 points in prime stat, 13 or 12 for a secondary score, and 10 in the third. This as I've seen it, isn't even close to possible when you're done fleshing out the PVP character with items, etc. What is missing?
ya Nates always been a little slow with that crazy new internet thingy and how there is something called information out there on it.

The internet is for porn.
Not really, but I've been too lazy to do much research on the subject when there are a plethora of guild members right here who would know the answers but won't speak the fuck up. =P
