The true brain-burner will be what happens if they release at
the same time ? Which are we going to go with ?
You won't have the pleasure of knowing me unless it is AoC. I watch both games but I lean heavily towards AoC, Mythics RvR has been done to death.
Doh! Ya I stopped watching DF a long time ago..
You don't and thus far it can stay that way...
lol, Just an old friend of Crimthans, I used to belong to Cadre Quietus, I was in beta for SB briefly. I have run into KBG too many times to list in different games. Nothing worth mentioning anyhow and definately not hostile. The guild is intersting me more and more lately and AoC is starting to look like the game of choice for me this time around. All and all I have been doing way more lurking then playing over the last 6 months. I am not a WoW player and I hate that game so atm Guild Wars and BF2 are what I've been doing while waiting for a good game. I guess you could say I'm in a holding pattern, although I did do some EQ2 pvp on Venekor recently I found it boring
something needs to come im slowly dying inside need some game to vent in aoc looks promising
Drakiis,
If you are interested in the KGB, may I suggest that you focus not on any specific game, but instead, focus on the KGB itself.
Games come. Games go. The KGB endures. You say your self that you have encountered the KGB in many arenas, but never as an adversary. That, in itself, should tell you something.
For my part, I have served the KGB on many fronts. Some of those games were better than others, but in all, the game itself was less important that role I played to help further the interests of the KGB itself. That is the over all game I have played for almost 10 years now. 10 years, under the KGB banner. Where can you match THAT in the gaming world?
In my time, I have seen people come, and I have seen people go. The people who have the best time are those who play to serve. Those who decide that THEY are the star, who feel everyone is there to serve their goals, they fade quickly and are seldom missed, nor remembered, regardless of their skills.
The ones who stay, and serve, and fight, who sometimes fail, and who frequently succeed, those are the people who prosper in the KGB.
Perhaps the game you are looking for is not Darkfall, nor Age of Conan at all. Perhaps the game you are looking for is the KGB.
That is for you to decide.
Preaching to the initiated bro, ask Crimthan I've been in "the game" doing "the thing" for a long time. Never said I wasn't looking to serve, Ive been doing service since I started posting here if you want to be technical about it. Overall though as I've said many times in the past;
"Ideologies aside a guild doesn't exist without it's members, and no guild is as strong as the membership which represents it. It is the outward persona which draws it's members but ultimately it's the membership itself which defines the guild."
I am looking to recapture the feeling I once had of serving a great and powerful bunch of good people. I have chosen a game with which to do this, and it seems hardly worth joining now when I cannot prove my worth, play along side KGB, wear the tag and contribute. Believe me I'm not sitting back because I'm selfish, I'm sitting back because right now there isn't a game worth playing both for me and KGB at the moment, unless you believe those factions now operational show KGB true supremacy. Either way I'd like to join on a good note in a game KGB feels I can be of use in, it's too late to play catch up in a current faction.
But I do appreciate the speech, I believe in the same things. While Crimthan is the better warrior of the two of us I plan on trying to make a come back from gaming depression, Guild Wars and BF2 have me seeking something more meaty.
