I've been playing Darkfall: Rise of Agon a little. I haven't played much the last few weeks. But right now it's still in Beta and they are looking to launch the live server May 5th. They are still adding some big changes before that time. They have 50 times gain skill level for spells and 10 times skill gain for everything else. So you can literally max out a mage in about 2 or 3 days given you have the gold to do so.

I was a Destroyer since the start of beta and decided to try mage once again. I had 140K gold and blew it all on buying the skills to level my mage spells, I pretty much have a max mage now even though I switched back to Destroyer since I kinda suck at being a mage. Actually I have a max toon. I tried New Dawn for a week or so last year before all the changes they made, I think Rise Of Agon may actually be the better one. I suggest researching both to see which one you think you may like better and go with that. I'll probably play the one with the most population on it at launch. Right now there's not a lot of people on either of them since the beta's have beem ongoing for months.

To note, go look at some videos on youtube with both games. That will show you what all changes each has made. The biggest on Rise of Agon is with the scroll system. Oh and the 50 times gain skill level is only for beta, it will revert back to normal skill gain at launch. But with the scroll system you can be a viable mage in about 2 weeks, or sooner depending on how much time you play and how efficient you are.
I am playing RoA at launch, I have a feeling it will be lots of fun, I really wish kgb had enough interest to start a faction but regardless I will play and hope to see others in there at least for the launch cause it might turn out to be real fun.
