First, some guy visited their office and reported a bit (VAGUELY) on what he saw. Nothing impressive, but here is the link:
http://www.bakatron.com/?p=43Second, the UI (anyone else disappointed in it?):
Can't say that I am disappointed in the UI... It's clean, not a lot in the way, I like the way the inventory system looks... I just hope I can get a big fat life bar in the corner, I'm sooo bad at keeping track of my life if it isn't a huge life bar, haha...
Having so many bags is going to be a pain ugh =x I'll probably end up not even wanting to loot corpses lol
It's actually pretty useful, you guys had to have played UO to understand fully but back in UO we'd always have the main pack open and then like 3 bags inside of it just like in the pic above... one bag would have like your regs for spell casting, another would have your scrolls or potions, i'd have anotehr bag as my "junk" bag, anytime I killed someone i'd just throw their loot into my junk bag and sort it out later.
I for one am super pleased about the stackable inventories, all these slotted inventories games have had like EQ, WOW etc are weaksauce.
Yeah, but can you have the UO bag in a bag in a bag, ad infinitum, system?
I hope not tbh.. it always seems like characters can carry an insane amount of loot to me. I mean just look at how much armor that guy is carrying you think he'd break his back :P

I grew up on a paper doll and bag system... Started playing UO at 11 and have had at least one active account about 70% of the time since then, lol. Playin Hybrid now, you should join us. ^^
There is likely to be a restrictive weight limit. So it's not like you'll have 20 bags on you, each with a full suit of armor in it. First off if you had that much on you, you're just begging to be pk'd and have it all looted. But second, the weight limit will likely only allow you to have two extra sets of armor plus regs, potions, bandages etc.
Which means you can't just loot everything in sight, when you kill someone you're forced to pick which items you want to carry and you're forced to make loot selling trips back to town every so often.
the bag system is good.. just like back in the mid-ages. you didn't have just a all in 1 bag (wowfagnessmods) to throw on your POS horse. you had like bags for all kinds of stuff, documents, food, materials, extra armor and heads of your victims.... I like the traditional clean ui honestly.
Go play with your paper dolls. I want blood, gore, and limbs hacked off and thrown into my bags.

I like the ring of that. Your parents are truly artists!
Thank you. They are both very talented artistics, in fact.
its retarded on the DFO forums when people talk about weight with bags... its like come on! you know the lamers that are whining about that are the same people that play WoW, enjoy their slot bag inventory and yet they put a horse mount in their bag which would weigh a hell of a lot more then a few sets of armor.
yah like that makes sense either...
fun factor over RL
im sure they will have some sort of limit to the bag system otherwise logistics would go out the window.
UO had it right. No bag limit, but you did have a weight limit. I suspect DF will be the same
yea it was based on str in uo .
all the more to Lewt Muahahaha
Now that you mention the horse in a bag thing... did you guys notice in the DF screen shot the mini ship in the bottom left corner of the main bag...
Yep, UO style baby, place your boat in the water and when you're done, empty out the cargo hold and then you can collapse the ship and put it back in your bag it would seem. (of course the ship statue or deed is a weight you can easily carry)
