So far I would say.................

- Mine all ore to get stones which you can mine into Portal summoning stones.
- Cut down any trees etc.. but, do not uproot items as you get nothing.
- Upgrade your glider at Mystical Island (buy the 4 plans) for about 2 gold then use carpentry stand to create the ultimate glider.
- When a skill tree (level 5 & 10) open up put something in each of them as they will level automatically.
- You can jump and use a glider to move fast even in combat.
- Always have a pet out and it will gain experience with you and level up.
- Focus XP more with your battle pet, Since you will replace your beginner horse / elk later in the game. (50 Gold)
- Money focus should be towards bigger bags and bank slots. 100 & 130 slots total for each
- If you see a red or purple player in protected areas you can kill but once your flagged they can also kill you.
- Always wear the best grade items (purple etc) instead of a set bonus. You get a special bonus from high grade items.
- To enter a portal you have to jump into it.
- Save labor points for opening loot bags - do this when your waiting for mana to regen to kill time.

Also, even though you don't have a farm or land that doesn't mean you can't plant anything. You just have to be secret where you plant.

Make sure you can use the glider before you upgrade. You use the lower one with the plans to make a higher one. In beta the ultimate required lvl 25 to operate. You don't want to be without a glider.

Also, you can use guild farms as well. Both of mine are guild while I travel, banshee or selenian show you where they are.

Experiment. Remember that as you loot other peoples public planted trees and such your going to get infamy points and become a criminal. If your killed, you go to court and most likely jail. Do not let these points exceed 3000 or you are forced to be a pirate.

Explore and practice jumping up to seemingly untraceable locations with your glider. You can, if you launch high enough, travel across an entire zone very quickly by glider.

DO NOT LEAVE THE MAP. IF YOU ENTER AN AREA OFF THE MAP, IT WILL AUTO KICK YOU BACK, BUT TAKE ALL TRADE GOIDS OFF YOUR INVENTORY.

Leveling is very easy, just follow the quest lines. You can easily change skills etc, so experiment until you have what you like. There are many options.

Player name releasing.

The 'timing' for character name deletion for existing characters from levels 1-9 is about a 10 minute wait. For characters level 10 and above their is a 24 hours wait. So be careful when you release any saved names for these new players.
